She has led over 20 global mergers and acquisitions, overseeing the integration of human resources workstreams in companies like Bharti, Marconi, Sony Ericsson, Fyffes, and Bristol-Myers Squibb-ABEEFE. Her deep understanding of data analytics and HR metrics, coupled with her expertise in utilizing systems like HRIS and Balanced Scorecards, has delivered measurable success, including significant cost savings and efficiency improvements across global HR functions.
In a recent role as Principal Consultant at Tower Consultants Search Group, Jill provides strategic support for human resources professionals globally, specializing in executive search and business development. Prior to this, she served as the Senior Vice President of Human Capital and Development at The Humane Society of the United States (HSUS), where she architected a three-year global strategic HR plan to the BOD that exceeded expectations and contributed to a remarkable 30% increase in employee engagement. Her leadership in introducing the first global HRIS system at HSUS doubled operational efficiency and helped save millions in operational costs.
Before her tenure at HSUS, Jill was the Chief Human Resources Officer at the International Fertilizer Development Center (IFDC), where she led the creation of HR infrastructure across 30+ developing countries. She successfully implemented a balanced scorecard system to measure and monitor performance, resulting in substantial operational improvements and cost savings. Through innovative total compensation packages and development opportunities, Jill drove global initiatives to increase gender diversity and reduce voluntary attrition to an impressive 1% over four years. As Chief Human Resources of AOL-Latin America, she started up the joint venture of Mr. Case and Mr. Cisneros by hiring 3000 employees in 4 countries in 9 months.
Jill’s extensive experience also includes leading Human Resources at Ericsson, where she held several executive leadership roles, including SVP/Head of Human Capital and Development for Sub-Saharan Africa and the Middle East, and SVP for the Americas. She spearheaded HR transformations to support Ericsson’s rapid growth, including managing the integration of numerous mergers and acquisitions and building scalable HR infrastructures across regions. While in Africa as an expat, her initiatives led to significant cost savings, operational efficiencies, and the development of a robust talent pipeline that supported Ericsson’s expansion from 2,000 to 6,000 employees and from 10 to 40+ countries in Sub-Saharan Africa and the Middle East. When Jill was SVP of Human Resources in the Americas, 60% of the C-levels at Ericsson came from the Americas Succession plan and were identified 5 to 10 years prior to their appointments.
