“Driving Growth with Purpose, Leading Through Service.”
Dan Logan is a veteran manufacturing executive with over three decades of leadership experience spanning operations, engineering, product development, and executive strategy. Known for his servant leadership style and technical expertise in welding, materials, and compliance, Dan has helped shape some of the most resilient and growth-driven teams in industrial manufacturing. His extensive background in merging operational excellence with people-centered cultures makes him a highly sought-after executive and board member.
Dan currently serves as the Director of the Indoor Tank Program at DarPro Storage Solutions, where he has overseen the revitalization of the business following a major acquisition. Within his first 60 days, Dan restructured the organization, reduced cost of goods by 15%, implemented 6S workplace standards across manufacturing plants, and established national freight and installation strategies that are now delivering measurable cost savings and operational improvements across North America.
Before joining DarPro, Dan held the position of Vice President and General Manager of Mach3 Machining, where he orchestrated the integration of three separate manufacturing businesses—Hall Machine, JJ Precision, and Wellington Manufacturing—into one of Northeast Ohio’s largest welding and machining operations. This merger required his oversight of commercial, technical, and daily operations, along with the successful implementation of lean practices like Protective Flow Manufacturing.
His most extensive impact came during his 17-year tenure at Alloy Engineering Company, where Dan rose through the ranks from Quality Manager to Chief Technology and Compliance Officer and eventually to General Manager. Under his leadership, Alloy’s revenue grew from $18M to $68M, ESOP share value increased by over 800%, and the company gained national recognition for safety, innovation, and culture. Dan led numerous change initiatives, including the deployment of Rockefeller Habits, the Velocity Scheduling System, and the Customer Advocacy Program.
Dan is a technical authority in high-temperature and corrosive materials applications, having authored over 250 welding procedures. He is frequently consulted by materials providers such as Sandvik, Haynes International, and Rolled Alloys for his insights into welding practices and engineering solutions. His technical certifications include Senior Certified Welding Inspector, Certified Welding Educator, and ASNT Level II in PT and MT from the American Welding Institute.
Beyond operations and technical excellence, Dan has been a key contributor in professional standards and certification bodies. He has served as Chairman (now Vice-Chair) of the American Welding Society’s Certified Welding Fabricator Committee and remains active on several subcommittees, including QC17, D14G, and Certified Welding Engineer. He previously served on AWS’s Qualification and Certification Committee, helping to shape national standards in welding and inspection.
Dan’s contributions extend beyond business. He is a former board member at Church Requel in Mansfield, OH, and an active member of Vistage International, where he collaborates monthly with other leaders on business strategy, HR trends, and personal development. Dan also regularly speaks at schools to promote careers in technical trades and serves as a mentor to early-career professionals in manufacturing.
His education includes a Bachelor’s degree in Leadership and Business Management from Franklin University, graduating Summa Cum Laude, along with extensive executive sales and coaching training through Sandler Sales and Hal Becker’s Mastery Series. His accolades include Magnet Manufacturer of the Year (2024), the Alloy Engineering 50-Year ESOP Award, and multiple employer recognition awards.
Dan is a lifelong learner, driven by his core values of integrity, service, and continuous improvement. His hobbies include reading, drumming, and music, which he credits as essential to his creativity and ability to think strategically under pressure. He’s known for his pragmatic approach to problem-solving and his ability to build consensus across diverse teams.
Now, Dan is actively seeking board roles in the manufacturing and industrial sectors, particularly with companies under 1,000 employees. He is especially drawn to growth-focused businesses that value operational excellence, collaborative culture, and strategic transformation.
