Rex Morgan is a dynamic leader in training and development, with more than 20 years of experience transforming organizations through education, curriculum design, public speaking, and workforce development. Known for his ability to align learning strategies with business outcomes, Rex has served in diverse roles across manufacturing, education, logistics, and public service—helping organizations unlock potential at every level of their workforce.
Currently serving as Manager of Training & Development at GXO Logistics, Rex leads a high-performing team responsible for learning programs that impact over 1,500 employees. His work includes developing and delivering training in safety compliance, leadership, conflict resolution, soft skills, and operational excellence. Under his leadership, GXO’s learning initiatives have become not only a driver of compliance but a catalyst for employee engagement and growth.
Before joining GXO, Rex held a key training role at Nice-Pak Products, where he designed and delivered cross-functional training across multiple sites in Indiana and Arkansas. There, he was instrumental in creating the organization’s Train-the-Trainer program, which empowered internal leaders to foster continuous development at all levels.
Rex’s strength lies in his deep understanding of how adults learn and how organizations grow. He has worked in both government and private sectors, including roles at the Indiana Department of Revenue and the Department of Workforce Development, where he led strategic learning initiatives using platforms like SuccessFactors. His curriculum development skills have improved onboarding, increased policy understanding, and accelerated productivity in complex bureaucratic environments.
As a consultant and founder of RM Consulting, Rex has provided professional development workshops and keynote speaking for educators and corporations across the U.S. His engagements have focused on differentiated instruction, learning styles, assessment techniques, and training strategy, earning him recognition as a passionate and relatable facilitator.
Rex also brings an educational foundation rooted in leadership. He holds a Master of Science in Education and a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Indiana Wesleyan University. He is a Certified Training Specialist and a licensed educator in Economics, History, and Government in the State of Indiana. His hybrid background in business and education makes him a unique voice in organizational learning.
His experience on the D3 Engineering Advisory Board provided him with an understanding of governance, strategy alignment, and stakeholder collaboration—further preparing him for future board service.
