“Solving problems to achieve revenue growth”
Nancy Terrell is a visionary senior marketing executive whose dynamic leadership has consistently transformed brands, fueled business revenue, and driven innovation across the consumer packaged goods (CPG) and direct-to-consumer (D2C) landscapes. With over three decades of experience leading strategic marketing initiatives, Nancy blends brand-building expertise with a deep understanding of strategy, consumer behavior, and operational excellence to deliver measurable results at scale.
Her career spans leadership roles in both corporate and start-up environments, including Bissell, Georgia-Pacific, Hershey, and her own consultancy, Terrell Marketing Group. Most recently, as Vice President of Marketing & Sales at FinaMill Co., Nancy led the strategy and execution for an innovative kitchen appliance startup. She was instrumental in establishing the brand’s foundation—from defining its vision, mission, and target audience to shaping its positioning and marketing voice. Under her leadership, FinaMill achieved exponential growth through a fully integrated marketing funnel and successful PR campaigns, including placement on Oprah’s Favorite Things 2022. Nancy spearheaded retail expansion, securing placements in five major housewares accounts and over 300 independent retailers within a year—while also developing national trade show programs, in-store demo initiatives, and a high-performing accessory sales program through community engagement and retention marketing.
Prior to FinaMill, Nancy served as Chief Operating Officer and Vice President at Ascend Marketing, where she oversaw client relationships and revenue growth across B2B and B2C campaigns for Verizon, Nokia, and SMU. Her leadership resulted in a two-point margin increase while advancing customer journey marketing strategies grounded in behavioral insights.
As President of Terrell Marketing Group, Nancy demonstrated her strategic agility in helping CPG clients such as VF Corp, Pillsbury, and Cherry Republic achieve new market positioning, customer engagement, and revenue growth. Notably, she helped Cherry Republic increase average order value by $6.00 in retail sales through targeted product development and research-backed marketing.
Earlier in her career, Nancy held pivotal roles including Vice President of Marketing at Bissell, where she led a 34-person team and managed a $32M budget to drive brand dominance. Her tenure marked a 25% growth in the consumer chemical business and a 4% lift in appliance sales during recession years, unheard of in the category. At Georgia-Pacific, she was hand-selected by the CEO to lead the turnaround of Quilted Northern, growing profit by over 10 points on a $750M brand and pioneering a brand identity rooted in “quilting”—a hallmark that endures today.
Nancy’s core strength lies in connecting brand performance with consumer desires—evident in the repositionings of a Pillsbury brand with the emotional anchor of “Sunday mornings” and a Bissell brand with “heat”. Her success is anchored in a powerful blend of strategic planning, full-funnel marketing, product innovation, customer insights, and P&L management—complemented by a mastery of metrics like CAC, LTV, and KPI management across digital and traditional channels.
Her impact has been felt globally, having consulted for top-tier clients at TNS such as Samsung, Hershey, and Holiday Inn, where she delivered revenue growth and market segmentation strategies that reversed sales declines and aligned brand portfolios.
Nancy holds an MBA in Marketing from Indiana University and a BBA from the College of William & Mary. Whether revitalizing legacy brands or scaling innovative startups, she brings curiosity, clarity, creativity, and commercial acumen to every challenge. Her passion for building brands that resonate—and perform—is matched only by her ability to lead teams toward ambitious, profitable outcomes.
