“Lean into curiosity, every moment is a learning opportunity.”
Dr. Rosina Racioppi is a distinguished executive, leadership development strategist, author, and advisor whose career has been devoted to helping organizations unlock the potential of their people and build stronger leadership pipelines. With more than four decades of professional experience, she brings a rare combination of corporate human resources leadership, organizational development expertise, entrepreneurial perspective, academic research, and executive management experience. Her career has been shaped by a fundamental belief that leadership is not developed through isolated experiences, but through curiosity, meaningful relationships, continuous learning, and opportunities that challenge people to grow. That philosophy has guided her work with executives and organizations throughout the United States and internationally.
Rosina serves as President and Chief Executive Officer of AscentPoint Leadership, formerly WOMEN Unlimited, Inc. She joined WOMEN Unlimited in 1998 and spent more than 27 years leading the organization before continuing that mission through its evolution into AscentPoint Leadership. Throughout this tenure, she has worked with major corporations to strengthen their leadership pipelines, prepare high-potential professionals for greater responsibility, and connect leadership development initiatives with broader organizational priorities. Her leadership has centered on creating development experiences that extend beyond traditional training by combining education, mentoring, relationships, executive exposure, and practical application to produce meaningful professional and organizational growth.
Her executive perspective was forged well before her leadership of AscentPoint. Rosina held senior human resources positions in corporate environments, including serving as Director of Human Resources for Degussa Corporation, with additional experience at Nextran, a division of Baxter Corporation, and Beechwood Data Systems. Those roles provided extensive exposure to organization planning and development, compensation and benefits, staffing, training and development, employee relations, safety, and quality management. Working closely with business leaders in chemical, manufacturing, and other corporate settings helped her understand that effective talent strategy cannot operate separately from business strategy. Instead, leadership capability, organizational performance, workforce planning, and business growth must reinforce one another.
That understanding became central to Rosina’s work with Fortune 500 and Fortune 1000 organizations. Over the course of her career, she has helped companies address the complex challenge of identifying, developing, retaining, and preparing talented leaders for increasingly strategic responsibilities. Her expertise encompasses leadership and executive development, succession planning, mentoring, talent development and acquisition, executive assessment, organizational effectiveness, performance management, change management, employee engagement, executive presence, and high-potential talent strategy. Her professional profile further reflects deep experience in organizational development, executive coaching, human resources, strategic planning, and leadership.
Rosina’s commitment to understanding how leaders develop is also grounded in extensive academic study. She earned her Doctor of Education from the University of Pennsylvania, where her research examined how women at the mid-career stage form mentoring relationships and how those relationships influence leadership development and career advancement. She also earned a Master of Science in Education from the University of Pennsylvania and a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Michigan State University. Her professional development has additionally included certification in the Hay Job Evaluation Process and the Crosby Total Management System. Together, her academic and professional experiences have enabled her to approach leadership development from both a research-based and practical business perspective.
A respected author and thought leader, Rosina has extended her influence through writing focused on leadership, mentoring, professional relationships, visibility, and advancement. Her 2020 book, Relationships Matter: How Women Use Developmental Networks to Step into Their Power and Influence, explores the importance of building purposeful developmental networks and demonstrates how curiosity, visibility, strategic relationships, and access to knowledge can contribute to career advancement. Her earlier work, Women Are Changing the Corporate Landscape: Rules for Cultivating Leadership Excellence, examines practices associated with personal and organizational leadership success. Her doctoral research, Women’s Mentoring Wisdom, further reflects a career-long interest in understanding how mentoring relationships contribute to leadership growth.
Rosina has also established herself as an experienced speaker and communicator on leadership development and career advancement. Her speaking engagements have included the Business Leaders Diversity Conference’s Women in Tech program, Lockheed Martin’s International Women’s Day programming, the National Women’s Business Leadership Conference, and the Colgate Women’s Network Executive Group. Whether addressing executives, emerging leaders, or organizational stakeholders, she brings the perspective of someone who has spent decades studying leadership while simultaneously applying those principles inside corporations and through executive-development partnerships. Public speaking complements a professional skill set that includes coaching, workshop facilitation, executive development, and cross-functional leadership.
Her professional experience also carries an international dimension. Rosina has gained exposure across South America, Asia, and Europe, giving her insight into leadership and organizational challenges beyond a single market or business environment. Her experience working with organizations across industries has reinforced an adaptable leadership perspective—one centered on understanding an organization’s particular strategy, culture, people, and future requirements before determining how talent solutions should be structured. This breadth is especially relevant to her interest in working with mid-cap organizations, where leadership capability, succession readiness, organizational effectiveness, and talent retention can have an especially visible relationship to sustainable growth.
Board and advisory service represents a natural extension of Rosina’s career. She has served as a board member with the Women’s Business Collaborative and has contributed in a university business council or advisory capacity. Having participated in board environments during her career, she views future board service as an opportunity to apply decades of experience while giving back to organizations and the leaders responsible for their future. She is open to opportunities across industries and brings a perspective that spans executive leadership, human capital, organizational transformation, talent strategy, mentoring, succession, and leadership development.
At the center of Rosina’s professional philosophy is curiosity. Her personal motto—“Lean into curiosity; every moment is a learning opportunity”—captures an approach that has influenced her academic research, executive leadership, mentoring work, writing, and organizational partnerships. She believes leadership development is most powerful when people remain open to learning from experiences and relationships and when organizations create environments that enable individuals to stretch beyond their current capabilities. Her career demonstrates a sustained commitment to translating that belief into practical strategies that help leaders become more prepared, organizations become more resilient, and talent pipelines become stronger.
As Rosina considers additional board opportunities, she offers organizations a perspective developed through more than 45 years of professional experience and decades spent at the intersection of people and business performance. She understands the responsibilities of executive leadership as well as the complexities of developing the next generation of leaders. Her experience enables her to contribute thoughtfully to conversations surrounding leadership succession, organizational capability, talent risk, workforce strategy, culture, executive development, and long-term organizational effectiveness. Most importantly, she approaches board service with the same principle that has defined her broader career: experience becomes most valuable when it is shared, applied with purpose, and used to help others succeed.
