Beginning his career in 1989, Robert served with distinction in law enforcement for nearly 25 years. During this time, he honed a deep understanding of public safety, criminal investigations, counterterrorism, and emergency management. As an Investigator, Bomb Technician, Tactical Explosive Breacher, and K-9 Handler, Robert took on some of the most high-risk, high-responsibility roles in law enforcement, requiring a unique blend of technical precision, critical decision-making, and mental fortitude. His training from elite institutions, including the FBI Hazardous Devices School and Hostage Negotiations School, laid the groundwork for the calm, composed, and strategic leadership style that he has carried throughout his career.
Following his retirement from active duty, Robert seamlessly transitioned into the field of adult education and professional development. He brought with him a wealth of practical knowledge and a passion for shaping the next generation of leaders. At the San Diego Regional Training Center and Government Training Agency, Robert served as a Program Coordinator and Trainer, designing and delivering high-impact training programs on law enforcement tactics, interpersonal communication, and public safety protocols. These roles enabled him to further develop his expertise in curriculum design, teaching adults, and enhancing organizational capabilities through education.
In 2018, Robert founded Semperfi Professional Development, Inc., an organization that quickly gained recognition for its innovative approach to leadership development, diversity awareness, and strengths-based coaching. Under his leadership, Semperfi provided transformative training experiences for professionals across the country. Robert’s work emphasized the power of culture change, not just as a strategic initiative, but as a human-centered movement that drives engagement, inclusion, and performance. He became known for his dynamic speaking engagements on the subject, offering insights drawn from both personal experience and organizational psychology.
As President of Semperfi and later as Director of Client Services at Pathfinder Resilience, Robert expanded his influence into the realms of mental fitness and resilience training. His role involved tailoring programs that equipped public sector professionals with tools to manage stress, improve communication, and sustain long-term personal and professional well-being. These efforts reflect Robert’s deep commitment to the holistic development of individuals, recognizing that effective leadership must be underpinned by emotional intelligence, empathy, and self-awareness.
In November 2024, Robert assumed the role of CEO at SafeSourcedUSA, a 501(c)(3) organization based in Las Vegas. In this capacity, he now oversees all aspects of administration and operations, leveraging his extensive background in nonprofit governance and executive management. His vision for the organization centers on strategic growth, community engagement, and the creation of sustainable training models that serve both public institutions and private sector partners. Robert’s leadership has already catalyzed meaningful partnerships and operational efficiencies that align with the organization’s mission to deliver value-driven public safety solutions.
