    Robert Bolton: A Leader in Regulatory Change Management

    Robert Bolton brings over two decades of regulatory change management experience. At Forvis Mazars, Robert serves as a Managing Director in Forvis Mazars Regulatory Advisory Services Practice where he is responsible for providing banking regulatory thought leadership and leading client experience strategic efforts with various banking institutions. 

    Prior to joining Forvis Mazars, Robert led regulatory efforts within Wells Fargo’s Strategic Execution Office focused on building a robust risk and control infrastructure to drive the remediation efforts associated with the Fed and OCC consent orders. Robert began his career at Wells Fargo within the Capital Markets Division where he led various Dodd Frank implementations and drove the successful closure of various regulatory remediation matters.

    Robert also spent eight years in KPMG’s Capital Markets Regulatory Advisory Practice where he led various broker dealer and Dodd Frank regulatory engagements. He began his regulatory career at FINRA where he served as an Examiner.

    Robert also serves as a Managing Partner of Bolton, Ivory, Cantey LLC. BIC, LLC provides public and private capital raising and civic engagement professional services within the sports and tourism industry.

    BIC, LLC’s latest effort has been centered around the development of Eastland Sports Campus. Eastland Sports Campus is a product of a hyper collaborative development approach combining the former Eastland Yards Indoor Sports Complex and QC East teams. Slated for completion in 2026, this $65M athletic ecosystem will serve as an integrated sports campus that will unite community members, families and businesses by creating economic opportunity and attraction to the East Charlotte area.

    Robert holds an MBA in Management from Fordham Gabelli School of Business and a BA in Business Administration from Morehouse College. His skill set encompasses deep industry knowledge in securities regulation, compliance management, regulatory reporting, and Dodd-Frank regulations.

    Beyond his professional accomplishments, Robert is dedicated to community service as a Board Member at McCrorey YMCA, Board Member of the Charlotte Morehouse Alumni Chapter and is also a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Incorporated, reflecting his commitment to social responsibility and leadership.
