With more than twenty-five years of global leadership experience spanning North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia Pacific, Nikhil has built a reputation as a transformative HR strategist who aligns talent, culture, leadership development, and organizational capability with long-term business success. Throughout his career, he has partnered with executive leadership teams to guide organizations through periods of rapid growth, mergers, restructuring, digital transformation, and cultural evolution while ensuring that people remain at the center of every strategic decision.

In his last role as Vice President and Global Head of People Development at TechnipFMC, a $9B+ global technology leader serving the energy industry, Nikhil oversaw enterprise-wide talent management, learning, knowledge management, and inclusion initiatives for an organization employing more than 24,000 people worldwide. Leading a globally dispersed team of sixty people and significant budgetary responsibilities, he has successfully modernized leadership development, standardized global learning strategies, accelerated internal mobility, and championed the deployment of artificial intelligence to improve knowledge transfer across the enterprise. His leadership has strengthened organizational capability while increasing employee participation in learning, expanding leadership pipelines, and positioning the organization to become a skills-powered enterprise prepared for the future of work. Nikhil has also led the corporate social responsibility function and inspired global teams to deliver impactful social initiatives.

Prior to this role, Nikhil served as Vice President and Global Head of Talent Management & Engagement, where he led the organization’s global talent acquisition, performance management, succession planning, diversity, equity and inclusion, and employee engagement strategies. During this period, he successfully transformed enterprise talent review processes, enhanced executive succession planning with greater diversity and cross-functional development, redesigned the company’s Employee Value Proposition, and strengthened employer branding on a global scale. His work created sustainable talent pipelines while helping the organization attract, retain, and develop world-class professionals across multiple continents.

Nikhil’s international leadership journey reflects exceptional versatility and cultural intelligence. As Vice President of People & Culture for Asia Pacific, he directed the HR, Communications, and Sustainable Development functions across Malaysia, Singapore, Australia, China, Indonesia, Thailand, and Vietnam, supporting more than 5,500 employees and a multibillion-dollar regional business. Following one of the industry’s largest mergers, he successfully led organizational restructuring, policy harmonization, leadership succession, local talent development, workforce optimization, and regional integration initiatives that united diverse teams under a shared corporate culture. Earlier leadership assignments as HR Director for India and the Middle East further strengthened his expertise in organizational transformation, industrial relations, global mobility, compliance, communications, security, and corporate social responsibility.

Long before assuming global executive responsibilities, Nikhil established an impressive operational foundation through leadership roles with Topaz Energy & Marine, Adyard Abu Dhabi, Johnson & Johnson, and Videocon Appliances. Across these organizations, he consistently demonstrated an ability to scale businesses during periods of accelerated growth, recruit and develop high-performing teams, support major acquisitions, improve workforce planning, and implement strategic HR systems capable of supporting thousands of employees across highly regulated industries. These experiences shaped his practical understanding of both operational excellence and executive leadership, allowing him to bridge business strategy with human capital execution throughout his career.

Beyond his corporate accomplishments, Nikhil has become a recognized thought leader within the global HR profession. As an accomplished speaker, he has presented at international conferences like Gastech, Society of Petroleum Engineers O&G conference, Global AIHR summit, Subsea tieback conference to name a few throughout North America, Europe, Asia Pacific, and the Middle East, addressing topics including talent transformation, diversity and inclusion, workforce optimization, multicultural leadership, developing local talent, and the changing dynamics of people management in the global energy industry. His articles, including Keeping HR Relevant in Changing Times and Managing Emotions in Conflictual Negotiations, have contributed valuable insights into the evolving role of human resources and leadership.  His ability to translate complex organizational challenges into practical leadership solutions has earned him recognition as a trusted voice among HR professionals worldwide.

His commitment to developing future leaders extends well beyond his executive responsibilities. Nikhil serves on the University of Houston HRD Advisory Board and the Talent Committee for PRAGMA Energy while contributing to the Harvard Business Review Advisory Council, the HR Advisory Panel for Human Resources Magazine, and previously serving on the Advisory Board for HRD Community at Contentive. He has also supported professional organizations such as the Indo-French Chamber of Commerce, further demonstrating his dedication to advancing both the HR profession and responsible corporate leadership. Throughout his career, he has actively championed sustainability initiatives, community partnerships, and ESG strategies, recognizing that organizations create enduring value when business performance is balanced with social responsibility.

Academically, Nikhil combines international education with continuous executive development. He earned a Master of Science in International Human Resource Management from Cranfield School of Management in the United Kingdom, in addition to an MBA, and a Bachelor of Commerce degree he obtained before starting his corporate career. His professional development includes executive programs through The Wharton School, Willis Towers Watson, UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School, SHRM, and Technip’s Global Leadership Program. This commitment to lifelong learning reflects his belief that great leaders continually evolve alongside the organizations and people they serve.

As he enters the next chapter of his distinguished career, Nikhil is pursuing board service where he can leverage his extensive expertise in global human capital strategy, organizational transformation, AI-enabled workforce development, executive succession, governance, and international business leadership. Having guided organizations through complex change across multiple regions and cultures, he brings a valuable boardroom perspective that combines strategic thinking with practical execution. His experience working with executive teams, managing enterprise-wide transformation initiatives, and aligning people strategies with business objectives positions him to provide meaningful governance and long-term value to organizations across the energy, renewables, technology, human capital, and emerging AI sectors.
