Terence V. Moore: Creating Innovative Solutions That Improve the Lives of Diverse Consumers

    Published on:

Terence V. Moore is a seasoned executive leader whose distinguished career spans more than four decades at one of the most iconic multinational corporations in the world—Procter & Gamble. Guided by his personal mission to create innovative solutions that improve the lives of diverse consumers, Terence has consistently turned challenges into opportunities, cultivating operational excellence, global transformation, and inclusive leadership throughout his journey. His story is one of visionary progress, service-driven ambition, and an unwavering commitment to empowering others through business impact.

From humble beginnings on a North Carolina farm to the upper echelons of corporate leadership, Terence’s trajectory is rooted in grit, determination, and values learned early in life. Raised by a mother who, despite graduating at the top of her high school class, could not afford college, Terence internalized the principles of perseverance and self-sufficiency. Paying for 95% of his college education himself, he earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from North Carolina State University. This formative period laid the groundwork for his technical acumen, unmatched work ethic, and lifelong advocacy for accessible opportunity.

Terence joined Procter & Gamble in 1980 and embarked on a transformative 40-year career defined by continuous learning and bold innovation. His early years in manufacturing and logistics operations across the U.S. and Canada gave him a strong foundation in operational strategy, where he quickly developed technical mastery and leadership presence. Demonstrating an early aptitude for team development and results-driven execution, he rose steadily through the ranks, eventually securing a place among the top 0.2% of leaders in a company that employs nearly 100,000 people globally.

With a unique ability to bridge technical execution and enterprise-wide strategy, Terence transitioned into global leadership roles where he was entrusted with some of the most pivotal business transformations at P&G. In Greater China, he reengineered the entire product supply network across China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan—reshaping one of P&G’s fastest-growing markets. Under his leadership, the region experienced significant improvements in responsiveness, regulatory compliance, and counterfeit reduction, setting a global benchmark for integrated supply chain governance.

As Director of the Global Duracell Business, Terence oversaw a $3.5 billion enterprise with operations across North America, Europe, and Asia. He led thousands of employees through complex operational, procurement, and compliance strategies, always aligning business objectives with market growth. His tenure in this role further cemented his reputation as a decisive strategist and trusted enterprise leader capable of influencing outcomes across continents.

His final chapter at P&G was as Senior Vice President of Product Supply Shared Services and Technical Operations. Leading over 500 global professionals and more than 120 manufacturing and distribution sites, Terence developed and implemented shared solutions that generated over $400 million in revenue, savings, and cash optimization. His influence extended to IT/OT compliance, cybersecurity, and automation, underscoring his prowess at navigating complex, modern operational ecosystems. Through these efforts, Terence championed governance and efficiency in equal measure.

But beyond the numbers and titles, Terence’s most enduring legacy lies in his advocacy for people—particularly underrepresented voices within corporate structures. As the leader of P&G’s African Ancestry Leadership Network, he worked directly with the Chairman and CEO to reshape the company’s diversity strategy. His vision and leadership led to historic advancements in the development and progression of African Ancestry leaders, including C-suite appointments. His Chairman and CEO credited Terence for having the greatest influence on his personal decisions and strategies to achieve these historic results.  These achievements weren’t isolated victories; they were institutional breakthroughs that reverberated across P&G’s global footprint.

A frequent keynote speaker and contributor at symposiums, Terence has addressed critical topics including inclusive leadership, risk mitigation, operational excellence, and cross-market strategy. Though he has not published articles, his influence has resonated in boardrooms, on stages, and across international markets. He continues to bring this leadership spirit to his community through service on non-profit boards such as the Supply Chain OKI and the Tri-State Smart Transportation Committee, and through church leadership and fraternity engagement.

Terence’s worldview is enriched by his international experience. He has lived and worked in Asia and North America, and his business dealings have spanned Europe and the APAC region. His cultural fluency and strategic agility allow him to understand not only the mechanics of global markets but also the people, policies, and partnerships that make them thrive. These traits make him uniquely suited for public board service in organizations navigating the intersection of innovation, globalization, and inclusive growth.

Today, in retirement, Terence is not stepping away from leadership—but rather stepping into a new phase of purpose-driven contribution. He seeks board roles where he can continue to apply his expertise in operations, governance, risk, compliance, and organizational development. With a calm and focused style, a passion for people, and a track record of global impact, Terence Moore remains a catalyst for excellence, equity, and enduring value creation.
