Ludgy Lilavois is a highly accomplished financial services executive, wealth management leader, and business growth strategist with more than 25 years of experience driving transformational growth across the financial services, investment management, private equity, banking, fintech, SaaS, retail, and nonprofit sectors. Throughout his career, he has built a reputation for developing innovative growth strategies, leading high-performing sales organizations, and creating scalable operational infrastructures that enable companies to achieve sustainable success. Recognized for combining strategic vision with empathetic leadership, Ludgy consistently helps organizations navigate change while empowering teams to exceed expectations and create lasting value for clients, shareholders, and stakeholders alike.

His career has been defined by a passion for helping organizations evolve beyond traditional growth models through disciplined execution, forward-thinking leadership, and an unwavering commitment to excellence. Whether leading organizations through mergers, expanding distribution channels, developing new products, or mentoring future leaders, Ludgy approaches every opportunity with the belief that meaningful leadership is measured by the positive impact it has on others. His expertise spans go-to-market strategy, business development, channel expansion, product commercialization, strategic partnerships, sales enablement, organizational development, risk analysis, and executive leadership, making him a trusted advisor for companies seeking accelerated growth and long-term market relevance.

Most recently, Ludgy served as Director of Sales and Regional Practice Manager for Fort Pitt Capital Group, a private equity-backed Registered Investment Advisor. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Growth Officer, he led the firm’s dedicated sales organization while overseeing more than 140 advisory professionals responsible for generating approximately 55 percent of the company’s annual revenue. During his tenure, the firm expanded assets under management from approximately $4 billion to $6.5 billion before completing a transformational merger with Kovitz Investment Group Partners, resulting in a combined organization managing approximately $40 billion in assets. Ludgy played a significant leadership role throughout this period of rapid expansion, helping establish the operational framework required to successfully integrate multiple organizations while maintaining exceptional client service and advisor productivity.

As the architect of Fort Pitt’s sales infrastructure, Ludgy developed comprehensive business plans, established measurable sales goals and key performance indicators, implemented standardized operating procedures, and created accountability systems that improved consistency across the organization. He regularly analyzed market trends, advisor performance, competitive intelligence, and business forecasts to identify opportunities for organic and inorganic growth. His ability to balance strategic planning with practical execution enabled advisors to operate more efficiently while positioning the organization for sustained long-term success.

Ludgy’s leadership extended far beyond revenue generation. As an active member of the firm’s Wealth Management Committee, he collaborated with executive leadership to shape policies, governance standards, operational procedures, and post-merger integration initiatives. He redesigned retirement planning growth strategies, expanded departmental capabilities, implemented scalable client service models, and developed a comprehensive advisor compensation plan spanning nine merged firms and more than 140 advisors. He also partnered closely with Compliance, Human Resources, Information Technology, Finance, Marketing, and Client Services to ensure that every operational initiative aligned with the firm’s broader strategic objectives. His collaborative leadership style consistently brought together cross-functional teams to solve complex business challenges while fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.

One of Ludgy’s greatest strengths has always been his commitment to developing people. Throughout his executive career, he has recruited, hired, trained, mentored, and coached financial professionals at every stage of their careers. At Fort Pitt Capital Group, he created advisor education programs focused on both technical competencies and consultative selling, established a formal mentorship initiative pairing experienced advisors with emerging professionals, designed onboarding and transition processes, and developed structured career development plans that elevated individual performance while strengthening organizational culture. He firmly believes that exceptional organizations are built by investing in people first, and his leadership philosophy reflects that conviction in every aspect of his work.

Prior to joining Fort Pitt Capital Group, Ludgy worked as an independent consultant serving private equity firms, investment management companies, and wealth management organizations on strategic growth initiatives. His consulting practice focused on helping firms strengthen competitive positioning, optimize Registered Investment Advisor platforms, improve client acquisition strategies, redesign referral models, evaluate incentive compensation structures, and identify new channels for expansion. During this period, he also provided strategic guidance surrounding Charles Schwab’s acquisition of TD Ameritrade while advising firms on changing dynamics within the wealth management industry, including evolving client expectations, competitive differentiation, and long-term market opportunities.

Earlier, Ludgy served as Senior Private Client Advisor with Gerstein Fisher, where he managed more than $600 million in client assets across a seven-state territory while leading two private client teams. His leadership contributed to approximately 40 percent revenue growth, and he successfully led a cross-functional project team responsible for developing the Investment Policy Statement supporting People’s United Bank’s robo-advisor platform. Additionally, his industry relationships helped secure approval for Gerstein Fisher’s Registered Investment Advisor services on the TD Ameritrade platform, significantly expanding the firm’s distribution capabilities and strengthening its competitive market position.

The foundation of Ludgy’s career was built during his remarkable seventeen-year tenure with Charles Schwab & Co., where he steadily advanced through increasingly senior leadership roles from Investment Specialist to Vice President Financial Consultant. During one of the company’s most significant periods of growth, he helped support Schwab’s evolution from approximately $900 billion in client assets to several trillion dollars through product innovation, strategic planning, advisor development, and market expansion. He managed a successful High Net Worth and Ultra High Net Worth client practice exceeding $600 million in assets while mentoring financial consultants, supporting recruiting efforts, contributing to product development, participating in go-to-market launches, and providing competitive intelligence to executive leadership responsible for shaping the firm’s strategic direction.

His consistent ability to exceed expectations earned him recognition as one of the industry’s premier wealth management professionals. Throughout his career, Ludgy routinely exceeded sales objectives by 30 to 65 percent while receiving numerous national and regional sales achievement awards. He was also honored as a Five Star Wealth Manager by New York Magazine from 2014 through 2017 and by Manhattan Magazine in 2012, reflecting the trust he earned from clients and peers alike through professionalism, integrity, and exceptional client service.

Beyond his executive accomplishments, Ludgy has remained deeply committed to nonprofit leadership and community engagement. He served as Vice President of the Board of Directors for The Jubilee Center of Hoboken, where he partnered with fellow board members to strengthen governance, oversee fundraising strategies, improve financial sustainability, and expand community outreach. His volunteer service also includes years supporting organizations such as Holy Apostles Soup Kitchen, Room to Grow, and St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, demonstrating a longstanding commitment to helping underserved communities and creating opportunities for others to succeed.

Ludgy’s professional perspective has also been enriched through international exposure across Ireland, Australia, and Asia, allowing him to appreciate the nuances of global business development and diverse market environments. He possesses working proficiency in French and values relationship-building across cultures, believing that diversity of thought and experience strengthens organizations and leads to better decision-making.

Today, Ludgy seeks board service because he believes the greatest measure of leadership is the ability to create positive impact that extends beyond individual success. Having contributed to organizations ranging from entrepreneurial firms with only a few million dollars in revenue to global financial institutions managing trillions in client assets, he offers boards a unique combination of strategic growth expertise, operational discipline, executive leadership, governance experience, and organizational transformation capabilities.
