“Unlabelled and limitless—every person, every voice, every possibility matters.”

Lois Baynham is a transformative human resources strategist, governance expert, and passionate advocate for equity, mental wellness, and neuroinclusion. With over 25 years of professional experience spanning the U.S., Europe, and APAC, Lois’s distinguished career reflects her commitment to creating inclusive, scalable, and compliant organizational frameworks for small to mid-sized enterprises navigating growth, change, and complexity. Her journey from residential services for the disabled to HR executive roles, board leadership, and entrepreneurial ventures paints a picture of a leader who doesn’t just manage systems—she reimagines them.

From her early work at YAI: Seeing Beyond Disability, Lois learned the value of empathy, operational rigor, and advocacy. Over a decade, she rose through the ranks to become a Residential Assistant Supervisor, overseeing program scheduling, employee training, medical protocols, and federal compliance. These formative years grounded her in frontline leadership and sharpened her ability to balance regulations with the dignity and needs of the people being served—a philosophy that would follow her throughout her career.

Her foray into corporate HR began at Cloud9 Technologies LLC, a then-startup where she scaled the HR function from the ground up. In just five years, Lois helped grow the company from 25 to over 130 employees across global offices in the U.S., UK, Singapore, and Hong Kong. As Head of HR, she led the development of performance systems, compensation strategies, and global mobility programs. Her contributions were pivotal during Cloud9’s acquisition, where she managed due diligence, operational readiness, and post-merger integration, demonstrating both technical competence and a human-centered approach to transitions.

Following the acquisition, Lois transitioned to Symphony Communications LLC as an M&A, Immigration, and Mobility Specialist, where she drove operational integration post-acquisition. In this role, she bridged gaps between newly merged leadership teams, harmonized employment contracts across regions, and facilitated policy redesign to ensure both compliance and cultural alignment. Her ability to navigate complexity without losing sight of the employee experience became one of her defining attributes.

In 2023, Lois founded The HR Collaborative LLC, a fractional HR consulting firm. Through this venture, she has provided strategic counsel to growth-stage companies preparing for funding, M&A, and restructuring. Her firm specializes in aligning people strategy with business imperatives, offering expertise in performance systems, compliance, policy design, and leadership coaching. Her work supports businesses aiming for scalable HR infrastructure while nurturing psychologically safe workplaces.

Lois’s leadership transcends business. From 2018 to 2023, she served as President of the Board of Directors for 219 West 144th Street Housing Cooperative in Harlem, NYC. Under her stewardship, the co-op underwent significant improvements in financial oversight, vendor management, and community relations. She championed transparent governance and a collaborative culture amid aging infrastructure and tight resources, earning recognition and community respect. She also contributed to executive leadership at UHAB through its Search Committee, further establishing her role as a thoughtful and impactful board member.

In 2024, Lois launched Unlabelled & Limitless, a media, research, and community platform dedicated to intersectionality, neurodivergence, and mental health. She hosts and produces a podcast under the same name, offering a platform for marginalized voices across generations and cultures. The venture also delivers neuroinclusion workshops, advising organizations on how to meaningfully implement equity and accessibility. With this endeavor, Lois bridges corporate insight and lived experience, elevating dialogues that matter in both boardrooms and communities.

Lois’s academic foundation is equally strong. She holds a Bachelor of Arts with Honors in Psychology and Sociology from the University of Liverpool and is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Psychology through The Open University in the UK. Her certifications include SHRM-CP, a Certificate in Employment Law from eCornell, and a Certified ScaleU Facilitator credential, further cementing her credibility in employment law, HR leadership, and personal development frameworks.

Her contributions have not gone unnoticed. Lois has received numerous accolades, including a Citation from the NYS Assembly, a Proclamation from the Manhattan Borough President, and the “President of the Year” award at the Harlem HDFC Co-Op Awards. These honors reflect both her professional acumen and community impact, demonstrating her deep connection to the spaces she serves.

Driven by her belief in the power of shared growth, Lois is now seeking board opportunities where her governance experience, strategic insight, and HR expertise can shape the future of values-driven organizations. Whether advising on M&A, guiding cultural transformation, or mentoring emerging leaders, Lois brings integrity, perspective, and a commitment to impact.
