With over two decades of distinguished leadership in the public and private sectors, Jerry Hill brings unmatched expertise in law, real estate development, construction, and public policy. His career, spanning more than 20 years, is a testament to strategic vision, legal acumen, operational excellence, and a deep commitment to continuous improvement across industries.

Jerry’s academic foundation is as impressive as his professional record. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and Political Science from William Jewell College, complemented by international studies in British History and European Economics at Harlaxton College in Grantham, England. He earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of Missouri–Kansas City School of Law and held admissions to some of the highest courts in the nation, including the United States Supreme Court and multiple United States Courts of Appeals, as well as the Missouri Supreme Court and the Western District of Missouri.

Currently serving as President and CEO of Calamar Construction & Development, Jerry is at the helm of a national construction and development enterprise. Since 2016, he has overseen all fiscal, strategic, and operational functions of the company, managing a $300 million portfolio. His leadership includes directing site selection, financial planning, lender negotiations, entitlement processes, investor management and interfacing with government officials. Jerry negotiates contracts and manages all relationships with outside consultants and professionals including developers, brokers, architects, and engineers. Jerry also develops community engagement strategies and spearheads media planning, reinforcing his role as both a business leader and a civic ambassador.

Before joining Calamar, Jerry was President and CEO of Modern Development Services, where he specialized in complex debt restructuring for nonprofit clients and led the financial planning of a $100 million senior housing initiative. His efforts in navigating regulatory landscapes and aligning public-private partnerships demonstrated his capacity to drive high-impact development projects.

His earlier tenure as Chief Operating Officer of Resource Development Inc. showcased his ability to scale operations and optimize performance. Managing over 25 subsidiaries and overseeing more than $250 million in borrowing, Jerry implemented strategic corporate restructuring that doubled company holdings and tripled revenue. His visionary restructuring solidified the firm’s regional presence in hospitality, retail, office and multifamily developments.

Jerry began his executive leadership journey at Landmark Legal Foundation, where he served as President and CEO for over a decade. There, he directed national litigation efforts, engaged in high-profile public policy initiatives, and litigated landmark cases before federal courts, including the United States Supreme Court. His time as an Assistant in the United States Senate to Senator John C. Danforth (R-MO) further instilled in him the values of public service and legislative advocacy.

Beyond his executive roles, Jerry has contributed his insight to several boards, including the American Council on Science & Health in New York, Hays Hotel & Convention Center in Kansas, and Resource Development Inc. in Missouri. His board service reflects a commitment to improving public health, advancing hospitality, and driving regional development.

Jerry’s professional competencies are vast and deeply rooted: he excels in managing multidisciplinary teams, navigating crisis situations, executing large-scale strategic initiatives, and leveraging matrix management models to integrate external partnerships. His negotiation skills, particularly in the context of real estate and construction financing, are finely honed and trusted by both private investors and public stakeholders. With cumulative project and property financing exceeding $500 million, his financial stewardship remains a cornerstone of his executive identity.

A devoted advocate for strategic growth and operational excellence, Jerry is equally passionate about sports, golf, and travel—interests that mirror his energetic and globally-minded approach to business and life.
