As an independent consultant since July 2014, Gordon offers expert guidance in semiconductor technology and markets, specializing in power management, solar photovoltaic, microcontroller-based products, engineering, and product development management. His career highlights include serving as the Engineering Director at Texas Instruments, where he led the PMU Development team with a market focus on programmable PMU products for telecommunications infrastructure.
Gordon’s extensive tenure at National Semiconductor showcased his leadership in various roles, including establishing a new IC development team for the Solar Photovoltaic market and overseeing product development related to PowerWise® Technology. With a wide technical background encompassing Power Management, PC Systems, Micro-controller systems, digital design, and semiconductor processes, Gordon’s expertise extends to manufacturing yield improvement, field failure mechanisms, and business success evaluation.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Gordon is deeply involved in mentorship activities, exemplified by advising senior projects at San Jose State University and lecturing on careers in Integrated Circuit Product Development at De Anza College. He was also a guest lecturer at The University of Michigan, and The University of California Santa Cruz. As a business owner, he successfully managed real estate investments, and is currently the owner and board member of a real estate brokerage company and owner and board member of self-storage company.
