Dennis Garcia: Veteran Financial Leader with Expertise in Customer-Centric Business Management

Dennis Garcia is a seasoned executive with over four decades of proven leadership across the banking, logistics, and telecommunications sectors. His career spans 41 years of management experience, distinguished by a deep commitment to customer service, relationship-building, and operational excellence in business-to-business environments. Throughout his multifaceted career, Dennis has consistently delivered results by aligning customer needs with strategic organizational goals, building and leading high-performing teams, and fostering long-term partnerships across diverse industries.

Most recently, Dennis served as Senior Vice President and Manager of Treasury Management at U.S. Bank (formerly First Community Bank) in Albuquerque, New Mexico, from 2006 to 2020. In this role, he led a geographically diverse sales and support team, overseeing treasury management services and cultivating strong institutional and client relationships. A hallmark of his tenure was his leadership in employee development—designing and delivering ongoing training programs to educate staff on treasury products and deepen their ability to meet complex customer needs.

Prior to U.S. Bank, Dennis founded Dennis Garcia and Associates, a consulting firm where he advised small businesses on finance, cash management, marketing, and customer service. He also made a significant impact at T-Mobile USA as a Team Manager, where he led a team of 75 to 105 representatives, delivered high-impact coaching, and played a pivotal role in training over 1,400 representatives across the company’s call centers in 2004 and 2005.

Earlier in his career, Dennis held key operational and leadership roles at Distribution Management Corporation, The First National Bank of Santa Fe, The Bank of New York, and First National Bank in Albuquerque. His responsibilities included overseeing multi-site operations, implementing systems upgrades, managing P&L, developing trust services, and guiding investment strategies.

Dennis holds both an MBA and a BBA with a focus in Finance from the University of New Mexico’s Robert O. Anderson Graduate School of Management. He has continued his professional education through the Cannon Trust School and multiple American Bankers Association programs, and has held the Certified Treasury Professional designation from the Association for Financial Professionals since 2008.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Dennis is a committed civic leader. He has held board and leadership roles with the Albuquerque Hispano Chamber of Commerce, UNM Anderson School Foundation, Catholic Foundation, and Leadership New Mexico, among others. He has also been recognized as a Hispanic Hero by the Hispanic Youth Institute and served as an Honorary Commander at Kirtland Air Force Base.
