Amy Flippen is a dynamic and visionary executive with over 25 years of leadership experience spanning the healthcare industry, private equity ventures, and innovation-driven business development. With a strong record of scaling companies from startup to multimillion-dollar enterprises, Amy combines operational excellence with customer-centric innovation to drive sustainable growth, improve care delivery, and optimize organizational impact.
As a mission-driven entrepreneur and executive, Amy has consistently delivered transformational outcomes across multiple roles. She currently serves as Division Director of Strategic Product Management at BAYADA Home Health Care, where she leads cross-functional teams to translate user insights into high-impact product features and training programs. Her focus on aligning customer needs with strategic business goals has enhanced both internal adoption and patient care experiences.
Amy’s entrepreneurial spirit took root early in her career, culminating in the founding of Accurate Home Care, LLC in 2002. Over the course of 15 years, she built the company from the ground up into a $65 million organization with over 4,000 employees. Her leadership was central to Accurate’s regional dominance in the Upper Midwest, delivering a full suite of in-home services, from personal care to skilled nursing and mental health. She successfully raised two rounds of capital, executed multiple acquisitions, and introduced legislative initiatives to shape the home care industry’s future.
Her innovative capabilities continued to flourish as Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer of SwiftShift, Inc., a tech-forward care coordination platform. In less than a year, Amy and her team built a $300M referral pipeline, onboarded over 150 nurses, and turned around a $700K operational loss in Florida into a $250K surplus. This role demonstrated her aptitude for blending healthcare with technology to unlock new levels of efficiency, compliance, and service quality.
Earlier at BAYADA, Amy also served as Division Director of Strategy and Business Development for the Skilled Nursing Unit. She expanded the company’s geographic footprint, spearheaded acquisition integrations, and implemented payer relations strategies that helped scale a $728M business unit by more than 10% year-over-year.
Amy’s leadership style is grounded in servant leadership, collaboration, and a deep sense of responsibility to her clients, teams, and community. She is known for her ability to build strong relationships across sectors — including payers, government entities, referral networks, and clinical professionals — and has repeatedly demonstrated success in creating operational systems that yield measurable outcomes.
In addition to her executive roles, Amy has taught as a program chair in healthcare management, mentored students and young professionals, and served on several nonprofit boards. Her board affiliations include the YMCA of the Twin Cities, Community Health Charities, and the Madison Claire Foundation, alongside formal advisory contributions to the Minnesota Departments of Health and Human Services. She has been recognized with numerous honors, including Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year (Regional Winner), Twin Cities Finest Award, 40 Under 40, and Innovation in Healthcare accolades.
Amy holds a Bachelor of Science in Health Care Management and a Master of Business Administration from the Minnesota School of Business. She continues to lead with integrity, boldness, and a passion for creating high-performing teams and impactful business strategies. Today, she seeks board and advisory opportunities where she can bring her deep industry expertise, strategic mindset, and entrepreneurial energy to organizations seeking transformation, scalability, and lasting value.
