“Making Something Out of Nothing, and Turning a Little Into a Lot.”
Tyler Stephen Moore is a multi-unit executive, entrepreneur, commercial real estate investor, and operations leader whose career has been defined by growth, resourcefulness, and a willingness to solve difficult problems. With approximately 16 years of professional experience in the powersports and recreational industries and seven years of involvement in real estate, Tyler has developed a practical understanding of how businesses grow from the ground up. His experience spans executive leadership, operations management, sales, finance, customer experience, marketing, acquisitions, commercial property, and organizational development. At the center of his leadership philosophy is a straightforward belief: strong leaders create value by recognizing opportunity where others may see limitations.
As Chief Operating Officer of Harmon Powersports Inc., Tyler provides executive leadership for a five-rooftop powersports organization generating more than $30 million in gross annual revenue. He oversees operations encompassing Sales, Finance and Insurance, Parts, Service, human resources, and strategic vendor relationships, with responsibility for a workforce of approximately 34 employees and relationships with 11 major OEM suppliers as well as numerous aftermarket partners. His role requires him to balance financial performance with people leadership, customer expectations, operational discipline, and long-term growth. Known as an outspoken and personable leader, Tyler combines analytical thinking and financial awareness with a hands-on management style grounded in accountability and decisive action.
One of the defining accomplishments of Tyler’s tenure at Harmon Powersports has been helping transform the organization from a two-dealership operation into a five-dealership enterprise. He played an instrumental leadership role in two ground-up dealership startups and one dealership acquisition, giving him firsthand experience with expansion strategy, operational integration, facility development, staffing, vendor relationships, and organizational scaling. He also led the company’s dealer management system conversion from DX1 to Lightspeed, helping create a stronger technological foundation for inventory management, reporting, and multi-location operations. These initiatives reflect Tyler’s ability to move between strategic planning and detailed execution—a combination that has remained central throughout his career.
Tyler has also demonstrated a strong ability to compete in demanding consumer markets. Through disciplined sales execution, customer relationship management, targeted digital marketing, and dealer strategy, the organization has consistently maintained significant regional market share with the Polaris brand, including performance exceeding 30 percent and reaching as high as 46 percent year to date during a reported period. He has developed and implemented multi-store digital marketing initiatives designed to expand online visibility while also establishing service department strategies intended to streamline repair processes, improve customer retention, and increase service revenue. His extensive Polaris experience encompasses product knowledge, dealership operations, sales objectives, and the realities of building lasting customer loyalty in the recreational vehicle marketplace.
Tyler’s expertise was built through progressive responsibility rather than a single executive appointment. At Big Blue Outdoor, a two-rooftop Polaris dealership organization, he began as a parts sales associate and advanced through parts and service management, sales, and ultimately sales management. That progression gave him direct exposure to virtually every major revenue-generating function of a powersports dealership, including OEM and aftermarket parts, service operations, inventory, retail sales, customer negotiations, and F&I. The experience established the operational foundation he later carried into executive leadership and continues to shape his belief that effective decision-makers need to understand how strategy affects employees and customers at the ground level.
His professional background also extends beyond dealership operations. As a lineman with Bowlin Energy, Tyler built, repaired, and maintained high-voltage distribution infrastructure and participated in storm restoration efforts following natural disasters throughout the country. Earlier, with the Fleming County Water Association, he worked with municipal water infrastructure, telemetry systems, heavy equipment, maintenance, and field operations. These physically demanding and operationally sensitive environments strengthened his approach to preparation, teamwork, problem-solving, and decision-making under pressure. They also broadened his understanding of infrastructure-dependent industries and reinforced the value he places on leaders who are willing to understand the work being performed by the people they lead.
Entrepreneurship and commercial real estate represent another important dimension of Tyler’s professional identity. Through TSM Enterprises, he has gained hands-on experience with commercial property acquisition, deal sourcing, due diligence, asset management, property repositioning, capital improvements, market analysis, and retail investment. His work has included acquiring and repositioning commercial retail property, evaluating local and regional opportunities, analyzing comparable properties and rental economics, managing improvement projects, and navigating zoning, building, and business requirements. Combined with his dealership expansion experience, this gives Tyler a distinctive perspective on the intersection of operating companies, physical assets, capital allocation, and long-term value creation.
Across these experiences, Tyler has developed particular strengths in leadership, management, problem-solving, decision-making, revenue generation, budgeting, operations, negotiation, and business process improvement. He describes himself as both a “people person” and a “numbers person,” an intersection that captures much of his leadership approach. He believes financial results matter, but understands that sustainable performance is ultimately produced by people, processes, relationships, and disciplined execution. His consulting and informal advisory experiences with other companies have further reinforced his interest in diagnosing business challenges, identifying overlooked opportunities, and helping organizations turn limited resources into meaningful results.
Tyler’s professional exposure also includes international travel to South Korea and the Caribbean, experiences that have contributed to a broader appreciation for different markets, communities, and perspectives. At the same time, his career remains strongly connected to Kentucky, where he has built relationships throughout the powersports, retail, service, and commercial property communities. His professional interests extend naturally into powersports, agriculture, automotive, ATV and UTV businesses, retail and service organizations, recreational companies, commercial real estate, mixed-use properties, and entrepreneurial businesses where practical operating experience can help accelerate growth.
Board and advisory service represents a natural next chapter for Tyler. After spending much of his career helping organizations expand, solve operational challenges, strengthen revenue, and create value, he is interested in applying those lessons to companies that can benefit from an experienced operator’s perspective. He is particularly drawn to situations where a company has meaningful potential but needs stronger execution, clearer processes, commercial insight, or an outside perspective to reach the next stage. His experience consulting with and problem-solving for other businesses has shown him that his greatest contribution is often the ability to quickly understand a challenge, evaluate the numbers and people involved, and identify a practical path forward.
Tyler also views this next phase through a personal lens. As the organization he has helped lead has grown substantially and approaches a potential future transition, he sees an opportunity to apply his experience in new ways while creating more time for his family. Rather than stepping away from business challenges, he wants to become more selective about where he applies his energy and expertise. Board and advisory work offers an opportunity to contribute strategically, mentor other leaders, support entrepreneurs, and participate in value creation while maintaining the family priorities that have become increasingly important to him.
Ultimately, Tyler brings the perspective of someone who has experienced business from the parts counter to the executive office, from field infrastructure work to commercial property ownership, and from individual dealership functions to the oversight of a multi-location enterprise generating more than $30 million in annual revenue. His career progression gives him an appreciation for both frontline realities and executive-level decisions. For organizations seeking a board member or advisor who understands operations, growth, revenue, people, property, and execution—and who is energized by the challenge of building something meaningful from limited beginnings—Tyler offers a practical and entrepreneurial voice at the table.
