    Rudy Pearce is a seasoned pharmaceutical executive with over three decades of experience in managed markets, sales leadership, and corporate account management.     Most recently, Rudy served as Director – Managed Markets Managers at Astellas Pharma US Inc. from 2020 to 2024, where he led a team covering the eastern half of the United States. His responsibilities included overseeing market access for key products such as Xtandi, Myrbetriq, Veozah, Cresemba, Padcev, and Xospata across PBMs, regional health plans, Medicare, Medicaid, and risk-based medical groups. Under his leadership, the team successfully negotiated PBM contracts, launched four new products, and achieved significant formulary wins, particularly for Veozah. His strategic vision also drove the national launch of the VISN team and led the east region to outpace the west in Medicaid drug launch success.

    Previously, Rudy held the role of Senior Corporate Account Director – Government Accounts East from 2016 to 2020, where he spearheaded key negotiations, including the successful Xtandi TRICARE contract. His tenure saw the expansion of Astellas’ government accounts portfolio, covering the Department of Defense (DOD), Defense Health Agency (DHA), and Veterans Integrated Service Networks (VISNs) 1-10. His achievements include multiple product launches, contract wins for oncology, and recognition as a Peak Performer, finishing second nationally in 2017. His leadership and collaboration efforts earned him two national awards, solidifying his reputation as a strategic and results-driven executive.

    Rudy’s earlier tenure as a Regional Account Manager – Mid-South (2013–2016) was marked by his ability to drive internal collaboration and market expansion. He played a key role in securing Astellas’ first-ever contract with Sentara Health Plan, led successful pull-through initiatives, and facilitated partnerships with specialty pharmacies. His dedication to team development and account management positioned him as a trusted leader within the organization.

    Before transitioning into account management, Rudy built a strong foundation in sales leadership, serving as Senior Regional Sales Manager – Urology at Astellas from 2003 to 2013. His strategic approach led to multiple national sales awards, top product launches, and the successful development of the Peer Leadership Forum, which was later adopted nationally. His ability to drive market share growth and foster relationships within high-priority territories contributed significantly to the company’s success.

    Prior to his tenure at Astellas, Rudy held key leadership roles at Sanofi-Synthelabo Inc., Alza Pharmaceuticals Inc., and Forest Laboratories, Inc., where he managed high-performing teams, launched new therapies, and cultivated relationships with major healthcare institutions. His experience spans specialty markets, including oncology, urology, cardiology, and orthopedics, where he consistently exceeded sales and market access objectives.

    Rudy holds a Bachelor of Business Technology from Appalachian State University and an Associate of Applied Science from Durham Technical College. His extensive industry experience, combined with his strategic leadership and deep knowledge of market access, makes him a highly respected figure in the pharmaceutical sector.
