Currently, Mike serves as Collaboration Mentor and Architect at SchellingPoint, a technology-driven consulting firm respected for pioneering AI-enabled stakeholder alignment on critical organizational topics. In this role, he assists organizations in designing and leading highly efficient collaborative engagements, often involving complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives.
Mike leverages his in-depth understanding of organizational dynamics to guide stakeholders through complex challenges, such as strategy development and process improvement, all with an emphasis on engagement, sustainable outcomes, and psychological safety. He quickly assimilates new organizational knowledge and identifies hidden opportunities and organizational patterns as he works with clients to achieve the most valuable, viable, and endorsed solutions.
As the Principal of Halperin Consulting, Michael has advised Fortune 50 companies, nonprofits, government agencies, and academic institutions on a wide range of challenges, including executive coaching, DEIB strategy, change management, organizational redesign, and team effectiveness. His clients include renowned institutions such as Harvard University, the Environmental Protection Agency, Bose, the Institute for Healthcare Improvement, Novartis, AT&T, and Abbott Laboratories. He has been entrusted with projects ranging from designing performance-driven leadership training for biopharma executives to leading strategic realignment for global consumer brands across Asia.

At Vinfen, a leading behavioral health nonprofit, Mike developed and operationalized a multi-year DEIB strategic plan to be embedded into every aspect of the organization’s operations, established a company-wide DEIB Council with members from all parts and levels of the organization, and designed and launched extensive employee engagement initiatives.
As May Institute’s Director of Training and Development, he created mission-driven strategies for employee development that were endorsed by senior leadership. His innovative curriculum designs for supervisory and management development have been highly regarded for their effectiveness, all based on adult learning theory. Additionally, as Director of Customer Service, he designed and implemented a highly regarded physician shadowing program and practice improvement sessions.
Earlier in his career, Michael held leadership positions at Reliant Medical (formerly Fallon Clinic) and Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates, where he designed and implemented organization-wide change programs during periods of operational transformation, technological implementation, and cultural shifts. As a partner and Chief Learning Officer at Collaborative Action Technology, he was instrumental in building a suite of methodologies that enabled clients to surface and resolve deeply embedded, often undiscussable, challenges — methods that continue to underpin SchellingPoint’s current AI platform.
A lifelong learner and educator, Mike has taught at Bentley University, Regis College, and The George Washington University, where he completed his doctoral coursework in Public Administration. He also holds master’s degrees in Economics and Public Administration. Michael’s training certifications include Collaborative Action Technology, Motivation Factor, DiSC, MBTI, and Microsoft 365. Most recently, he has become a consummate learner of AI, incorporating it into all his project work, and will be presenting AI applications at an upcoming conference of social service organizations.
