Under his leadership, the company expanded its operations from five to nine states, grew revenue dramatically, integrated two acquisitions, and increased the company’s footprint to 17 branches. His efforts not only professionalized the business but also resulted in substantial financial gains, increasing EBITDAB and enhancing overall margins. Matthew’s approach to business transformation combines his keen understanding of market dynamics with a focus on operational excellence, making him a strategic force in every role he assumes.

Prior to and after leading Louisville Tile, Matthew founded and serves as CEO of Pallas Partners, a regional strategic consulting and advisory firm. He successfully merged the firm with Strothman and Company, where he continued to provide high-level advisory services through Strothman Strategic Advisory Services. In these roles, Matthew and his team worked with over 75 companies, specializing in areas such as business valuation, capital structuring, change management, mergers and acquisitions, and turnaround strategies for lower-middle-market companies. His deep expertise in M&A, coupled with a strong track record of corporate advisory, positions him as an influential leader capable of navigating complex transactions and delivering meaningful results. Pallas is now once again an independent strategic advisory firm.

Matthew’s early career was marked by a series of high-impact roles in the financial services sector. He held senior leadership positions at J.P. Morgan, where he was responsible for managing Private Client Services for the Kentucky and Tennessee markets. Additionally, he served as Managing Director at Todd Investment Advisors, helping grow assets under management by nearly 43%. He also founded and led Mercury Wealth Management Ltd, a wealth management firm with branches across Massachusetts, New York, and Connecticut, as well as E-trustco, an internet-based trust company, which he successfully sold to Ashton Technologies. His experience with major Wall Street firms, including Prudential Financial, Smith Barney, Drexel Burnham Lambert, and Dean Witter Reynolds, has equipped him with deep expertise in capital markets, wealth management, and investment strategies.

In addition to his extensive professional achievements, Matthew is actively involved in several organizations. He currently serves as the Chairman of the Small Business Council for the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce, where he champions the needs of small businesses across the state.
