Prior to TechBlocks, John served as President of the Canadian division of Channel Control Merchants, a reverse logistics and retail organization backed by private equity. During his tenure, he successfully guided the company through the disruptions of the COVID-19 pandemic, restoring profitability and driving a 55 percent growth trajectory. He expanded operations, diversified revenue streams, and strengthened client relationships, all while maintaining full P&L accountability and aligning the organization with long-term strategic goals.
John’s earlier experience includes serving as Executive Vice President of Business Development and Client Services at ReturnPro, where he led North American growth initiatives and led teams to secure over $60 million in new business annually. He played a critical role in scaling enterprise capabilities, expanding client portfolios, and positioning the company for private equity transition. His ability to identify opportunities, structure large-scale deals, and build enduring client partnerships has been a consistent hallmark of his leadership.
At Liquidity Services, John served as Vice President and General Manager for Canada, where he launched and scaled two new business units that quickly gained market traction. Under his leadership, the business achieved significant revenue growth while establishing a strong foothold in reverse logistics, government asset management, and e-commerce marketplaces.
