Under his leadership, Tobe Direct established itself as a trusted partner for some of the nation’s most recognizable brands, including Lowe’s, Petco, Michaels, Family Dollar, Rite Aid, Asurion, AT&T, and Verizon. The company’s growth was fueled by a relentless focus on performance, client relationships, innovation, and operational excellence.

As Tobe Direct expanded, John successfully navigated the challenges that accompany rapid growth, including talent acquisition, organizational development, technology investments, financial management, and customer retention. His ability to scale operations while maintaining profitability and service quality helped position the company among the fastest growing private companies in America, earning recognition on the prestigious Inc. 5000 list. More importantly, the company’s sustained success demonstrated John’s ability to create scalable business models capable of delivering long term value.

In 2015, Tobe Direct was acquired by Concentric Equity Partners, creating another successful liquidity event. Rather than stepping away, John played an active role in integrating multiple businesses into the broader platform, helping create operational synergies and accelerate growth. The platform’s subsequent sale to H.I.G. Capital in 2018 further reinforced John’s ability to create enterprise value and successfully navigate sophisticated private equity transactions.
