Jennifer M. Treviño, MBA, is an accomplished executive leader, strategist, and community builder whose career has been defined by a steadfast commitment to developing organizations, empowering people, and creating lasting impact. Throughout more than twenty-five years of progressive leadership experience spanning nonprofit organizations, higher education, healthcare consulting, government, retail, and corporate environments, she has consistently demonstrated an exceptional ability to unite diverse stakeholders around a common purpose while driving measurable organizational growth. Her leadership philosophy centers on collaboration, strategic execution, and service, making her a trusted advisor to executives, boards, and community leaders alike. Jennifer believes that sustainable success is achieved by building strong relationships, cultivating future leaders, and creating systems that allow organizations to thrive long after initiatives have been launched.

As the Executive Director of Leadership Fort Worth, Jennifer leads one of Texas’ premier community leadership organizations dedicated to educating, empowering, and connecting leaders who are committed to strengthening their communities. Since assuming the role in 2021, she has guided the organization through a period of remarkable transformation and growth. Under her leadership, Leadership Fort Worth resumed in-person programming following the pandemic with its most diverse participant cohorts in organizational history, secured significant grant funding to expand leadership opportunities, modernized its digital presence, completed a comprehensive strategic planning process, celebrated its milestone fiftieth anniversary, and achieved record organizational revenue exceeding $700,000. Her leadership has also resulted in the continued development of hundreds of civic and business leaders while strengthening the organization’s reputation as a catalyst for community engagement and leadership excellence.

Prior to leading Leadership Fort Worth, Jennifer served as Chief Development Officer for Girls Inc. of Tarrant County, where she combined strategic fundraising, marketing, partnership development, and community engagement to strengthen the organization’s financial sustainability and public visibility. During her tenure, she secured transformational gifts supporting educational programming, expanded donor engagement, cultivated corporate partnerships, and significantly increased the organization’s digital reach across multiple social media platforms. Her ability to connect mission-driven organizations with community stakeholders exemplifies her talent for translating vision into sustainable organizational success while building meaningful relationships that continue to benefit the communities served.

Jennifer’s experience also includes serving as a Management Consultant with Brittain-Kalish Group, where she advised healthcare organizations on strategic planning, operational improvement, physician recruitment, and organizational effectiveness. Working alongside executive leadership teams, she provided practical solutions to complex operational challenges while helping clients improve efficiency, strengthen organizational processes, and position themselves for long-term success. This consulting experience further expanded her ability to assess business challenges objectively, identify opportunities for improvement, and guide organizations through periods of transition and growth.

One of the defining chapters of Jennifer’s career was her decade of executive leadership at the University of North Texas Health Science Center. Rising to the position of Vice President of Administration and Chief of Staff, she served as a trusted advisor to the university president while overseeing strategic initiatives that impacted more than 1,400 employees and thousands of students. Her responsibilities extended across executive operations, human resources, organizational development, strategic planning, budget management, governance, compliance, and institutional partnerships. Jennifer played an instrumental role in coordinating the collaboration that ultimately helped establish the TCU and UNTHSC School of Medicine, while also leading executive-level initiatives that required exceptional coordination among academic leaders, government officials, healthcare executives, and community stakeholders. Her ability to successfully navigate highly complex organizations while maintaining strategic focus established her reputation as an executive capable of leading transformational change.

Earlier in her career, Jennifer developed a strong business foundation through leadership roles with RadioShack Corporation and H-E-B Grocery Company. These experiences provided valuable exposure to product marketing, merchandising, operations management, vendor relations, customer engagement, and large-scale retail leadership. Beginning her career in retail management and steadily advancing into corporate marketing leadership allowed Jennifer to develop a comprehensive understanding of organizational operations from both frontline and executive perspectives. This unique progression has equipped her with a balanced approach to leadership that values both strategic vision and operational excellence while maintaining an unwavering focus on customer and stakeholder experience.

Beyond her executive responsibilities, Jennifer has established herself as one of North Texas’ most respected civic and community leaders. Her extensive board and committee service reflects an enduring commitment to public service and leadership development. She currently serves on numerous nonprofit, educational, and civic advisory boards, including the Association of Leadership Programs Board of Directors, the TCU Neeley School of Business Management and Leadership Advisory Board, United Way of Tarrant County’s Strategic Planning Committee, the Fort Worth Police Chief’s Hispanic Advisory Council, and several additional leadership organizations. Her previous service includes appointments to the City of Fort Worth Plan Commission, Zoning Commission, Race and Culture Task Force, Tarrant Transit Alliance Board, and numerous community advisory councils. Jennifer’s leadership extends well beyond organizational governance; she actively contributes to strategic planning, diversity initiatives, leadership development, and community collaboration throughout the region.

Jennifer’s professional accomplishments have been recognized through numerous prestigious honors that reflect both her leadership excellence and community impact. She has been named among Fort Worth Inc. Magazine’s Top 500 Most Influential People for five consecutive years, received the Great Women of Texas Award, earned recognition as one of Texas’ Most Powerful and Influential Women, was selected as a MillerCoors Líderes honoree recognizing outstanding Hispanic leadership nationwide, and was named to Fort Worth Business Press’ Forty Under Forty. These honors underscore not only her executive capabilities but also her consistent dedication to improving organizations and strengthening the communities she serves through collaborative leadership and meaningful engagement.

Jennifer’s expertise spans strategic planning, project management, operational leadership, business development, marketing, fundraising, leadership development, organizational effectiveness, governance, process improvement, cross-functional collaboration, executive administration, and community engagement. She brings extensive experience working with nonprofit organizations, higher education institutions, healthcare organizations, corporations, and civic entities, making her exceptionally well suited to serve organizations across multiple industries. While she remains open to serving companies in virtually every sector, her preference is to avoid government contracting, firearms-related businesses, and tobacco industries, choosing instead to contribute her experience to organizations focused on innovation, growth, community impact, and sustainable business success.

As a board candidate, Jennifer offers a rare combination of executive leadership, governance experience, operational expertise, strategic vision, and authentic relationship building. She has successfully navigated organizations through periods of transformation, guided executive teams through strategic planning processes, strengthened governance structures, improved organizational performance, and cultivated partnerships that produce measurable results. Her extensive experience serving on nonprofit, educational, and advisory boards has provided a deep understanding of fiduciary responsibility, organizational oversight, executive leadership, and long-term strategic planning. Jennifer is seeking board service because she believes the breadth of her professional experiences has prepared her to help businesses navigate growth, strengthen leadership, improve operations, and create cultures that foster long-term success.
