Early in her leadership trajectory, she joined The Matcom Group—an industrial services and trade organization—where she evolved from internal operations leadership to acting president. Over nearly twelve years, she helped scale the business from a small enterprise to a multi-division operation growing revenue by 438%, expanding the workforce from 300% employees. Her leadership was central to integrating five acquisitions, streamlining operations, implementing ERP transformations, and strengthening brand, HR, and operational frameworks.

Her ability to lead teams through transformation, while preserving the cultural fabric of privately held companies, became foundational to her leadership identity. She consistently demonstrated that operational excellence requires both technical rigor and a deep understanding of people, purpose, and organizational heritage. This philosophy guided her later work as National Director at Family Enterprise Canada, where she designed and implemented succession programs, governance frameworks, and NextGen leadership initiatives that elevated cohesion, continuity, and engagement for business families across the country. Emma’s contributions extended beyond performance improvement to include meaningful modernizations in strategy, community experience, and enterprise restructuring. 

Her executive impact broadened further as she took on interim COO and CEO roles across multiple family-owned industrial and construction companies supporting the gap between generational leaders. Entrusted with operational realignment, executive team development, and transformational growth projects, she led a $50M acquisition that expanded operations into South America and increased EBITDA by 37%. She also built and staffed executive teams, guided philanthropic initiatives totaling over $40M, and oversaw strategic and operational initiatives that consistently exceeded performance targets by more than 47%.

In 2025, Emma became Chief Operations Officer of OpenAire Inc., where she now leads global operational strategy, ERP implementation, M&A integration, and process improvement initiatives. Her work ensures that OpenAire remains a leader in delivering innovative engineered solutions while scaling efficiently to meet expanding international demand. Her leadership approach—grounded in collaboration, transparency, and alignment—empowers teams to thrive through change while strengthening the operational backbone of the business.

Her global experience is further strengthened by her education, including an MBA from the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management, a Global Executive MBA from the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland, and a Bachelor of Arts with honours from Queen’s University.
