His board and governance experience includes serving as a Non-Executive Director and Chair of an Audit and Finance Committee. He has also provided corporate secretarial and governance support to regulated and internationally structured companies, including preparing board materials, resolutions and minutes, overseeing audit and financial reporting matters, and supporting directors in fulfilling their fiduciary, regulatory and strategic responsibilities.

Colin helps boards and executive teams strengthen financial oversight, evaluate strategic opportunities, manage risk and navigate periods of growth, restructuring and organisational change. He is known for independent judgement, analytical discipline and the ability to translate complex financial, operational and regulatory matters into clear, practical decisions.

Colin brings to boards and leadership teams more than technical expertise. He provides candid advice, commercial insight and an independent perspective grounded in decades of executive responsibility. His objective is to help organisations strengthen their foundations, improve decision-making and create sustainable long-term value.

He is particularly well suited to board and advisory roles requiring:

  • Independent oversight of financial reporting, audit and internal controls;
  • Strategic guidance on growth, restructuring and business transformation;
  • Experience with regulated and internationally active organisations;
  • Constructive challenge of management assumptions and investment proposals;
  • Stronger governance, risk management and financial discipline; and
  • Practical support with valuation, succession, transactions and capital allocation.

As Managing Partner of Limestone Capital SRL and Principal Consultant of Strategic Consulting & Advisory Services, Colin advises business owners, boards, investors and senior executives on financial strategy, corporate governance, business valuation, restructuring, succession planning, transaction support, financial modelling, international business structures and regulatory compliance.

His board experience includes service with a regulated insurance company and an international business company with real estate interests in China. Colin has also held leadership roles with professional, business and entrepreneurial organisations, including the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Barbados, the Barbados Coalition of Service Industries, the Barbados Entrepreneurship Foundation and the Certified General Accountants Associations of Barbados and Bermuda. He also served on an advisory committee of the Certified General Accountants Association of Canada.

These appointments have strengthened his understanding of professional regulation, economic development, entrepreneurship and the challenges facing growing and internationally active organisations.

Colin began his career with KPMG in Barbados, where he developed a strong foundation in audit, financial advisory services, taxation, business planning, valuation and internal controls. This experience established the technical discipline and broad commercial perspective that have remained central to his approach throughout his career.

He subsequently held senior finance roles in insurance, banking, investment management, technology and government. At Bank of Montreal in Barbados and Canada, his responsibilities included financial reporting, forecasting, regulatory reporting, economic capital assessment and strategic financial modelling.

In Bermuda, Colin served as Financial Controller of an investment advisory business and later as CFO and Controller of a multi-company technology group operating across Bermuda and Canada. He subsequently served as Chief Financial Officer of a Cayman Islands government ministry, with responsibility for financial and operational reporting across multiple departments and statutory boards. He also contributed to the reconstruction of financial accounts following Hurricane Ivan and to business-process improvements supporting the government’s transition to accrual accounting and broader financial-management reforms.

A Fellow of CPA Canada and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Barbados, Colin also completed the professional programme of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators and holds specialised qualifications in financial consulting and securities.
