With more than 35 years of executive leadership experience spanning enterprise software, cloud computing, SaaS, consulting, customer engagement, and global operations, she has consistently demonstrated that organizations achieve lasting success when innovation is paired with an unwavering commitment to the customer. Throughout her career, Beth has led transformative initiatives that have modernized organizations, accelerated revenue growth, enhanced operational performance, and strengthened customer loyalty for some of the world’s most recognized technology companies. Her ability to balance strategic vision with operational execution has earned her a reputation as a trusted executive leader capable of navigating complex global organizations through periods of rapid change.
Beth’s professional journey reflects a remarkable progression through increasingly influential executive leadership positions. Her expertise spans virtually every aspect of the customer lifecycle, including technical sales, customer advocacy, consulting services, managed services, customer support, partner ecosystems, technical education, and enterprise transformation. This breadth of experience has provided her with an exceptional understanding of how technology organizations function from both operational and strategic perspectives. Whether leading customer-facing organizations of hundreds or directing global teams numbering in the thousands, Beth has consistently focused on creating sustainable business models that improve customer outcomes while delivering measurable financial performance.
Most recently, Beth served as Senior Vice President of Global Customer Engagement at Zendesk, where she led worldwide pre-sales and post-sales organizations responsible for solution engineering, consulting services, managed services, customer transformation, partner engagement, and account management. In this executive role, she orchestrated the entire customer engagement lifecycle while aligning global service delivery with commercial and enterprise business objectives. Under her leadership, Zendesk developed a $60 million recurring services portfolio through differentiated service strategies tailored to diverse customer segments. She also transformed the sales engineering organization by introducing a tiered engagement model that enhanced consultative solution selling across approximately $1.6 billion in annual revenue. Through disciplined operational leadership and thoughtful financial stewardship, Beth improved profit margins by seventeen percentage points while simultaneously increasing direct sales through strategic partner program enhancements.
Prior to joining Zendesk, Beth spent nearly two decades at IBM, where she held numerous Vice President positions across software, cloud, consulting, customer success, technical sales, and worldwide operations. During her tenure, she became recognized as one of the company’s premier operational leaders, consistently entrusted with large-scale organizations and mission-critical transformation initiatives. As Vice President of Technical Sales for IBM’s Cloud and Cognitive Solutions business, she led more than 3,500 technical professionals supporting one of IBM’s largest software portfolios, helping generate $13.5 billion in software revenue while contributing more than $500 million in SaaS signings. Under her leadership, customer satisfaction scores increased significantly, software adoption accelerated, and the organization consistently exceeded global performance benchmarks.
Beth also played a central leadership role in one of the largest technology acquisitions in history when IBM acquired Red Hat. Serving as Vice President of Red Hat Synergy Technical Sales, she successfully unified more than 4,000 technical sales and consulting professionals while developing an integrated go-to-market strategy that combined IBM’s enterprise capabilities with Red Hat’s open-source expertise. Her leadership ensured organizational alignment, operational continuity, and enhanced customer engagement throughout a complex integration process. This experience further established her expertise in mergers and acquisitions, organizational transformation, executive governance, and enterprise change management.
Earlier in her IBM career, Beth led worldwide consulting organizations with full P&L responsibility, managing a $100 million global consulting business that delivered software implementation and technical services for enterprise customers. She also directed IBM’s worldwide software deployment, adoption, and client success organizations, where she designed innovative applications that improved software renewal visibility, accelerated customer adoption, and strengthened long-term client relationships. Her consistent focus on leveraging technology to improve business processes and customer experiences became a defining characteristic of her leadership style and remains one of her greatest strengths.
Beth’s executive leadership experience began even before IBM through her impactful work at Rational Software, where she led multinational customer support organizations and established seven global support centers that collectively handled more than 250,000 customer inquiries annually. She modernized traditional customer support operations by transitioning organizations from telephone-based service models to digitally enabled customer engagement platforms long before customer experience transformation became an industry priority. She also managed the technology infrastructure supporting the entire sales lifecycle—from lead generation and opportunity management through subscription renewals—providing her with a comprehensive understanding of enterprise software operations and customer relationship management.
Throughout her career, Beth has demonstrated an exceptional ability to build high-performing organizations while creating cultures centered on accountability, innovation, collaboration, and customer success. Her expertise extends across cloud computing, SaaS, enterprise software, technical sales, consulting, managed services, customer advocacy, digital transformation, automation, and executive governance. She has repeatedly partnered with executive leadership teams and boards to align technology investments with strategic business objectives, improve organizational efficiency, optimize profitability, and strengthen customer relationships. Her passion for utilizing technology to improve both operational excellence and customer experience continues to define her executive leadership philosophy.
Beth’s accomplishments have been recognized through numerous prestigious awards, including the Best of IBM Award, the Women Entrepreneurs in Science & Technology Leadership Award, the Kepner-Tregoe International Process Achievement Award, and IBM’s Consumability Award. She has also been an active advocate for leadership development and diversity, serving as Executive Sponsor for the IBM New England Women’s Network and as a sponsor of the Anita Borg Institute. Her commitment to mentoring future leaders and supporting greater inclusion within the technology industry reflects her belief that exceptional organizations are built through empowered people as much as innovative technology.
A graduate of The College of Saint Rose with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications, Beth combines technical expertise with exceptional executive communication skills that enable her to build consensus across diverse stakeholder groups. Outside of her professional career, she enjoys photography, health, and fitness, interests that reflect her appreciation for creativity, discipline, and lifelong learning. Following a planned three-year professional hiatus, Beth is actively seeking opportunities to serve on corporate boards where she can leverage her decades of executive leadership experience to help organizations strengthen governance, accelerate growth, modernize customer engagement strategies, and successfully navigate today’s rapidly evolving technology landscape.
