During his eleven-year tenure with Walmart Canada, Allan played an instrumental role in one of the company’s most significant periods of growth. Serving in several senior merchandising and operational leadership positions, he helped launch Walmart Supercentres throughout Canada while also supporting the introduction of SAM’S CLUB and the expansion of grocery operations. His responsibilities extended across merchandising, budgeting, private label development, design and construction, marketing, legal compliance, and operational execution. Working directly with executive leadership, he successfully translated strategic objectives into scalable operating models that strengthened customer experience while improving financial performance across hundreds of locations.

Building on that success, Allan joined Loblaw Companies Limited, where he served in multiple Vice President roles overseeing merchandising operations, pricing, promotions, marketing, and grocery strategy for Canada’s largest grocery retailer. Managing multi-billion-dollar portfolios, he led enterprise-wide initiatives that repositioned retail banners, modernized merchandising standards, introduced innovative marketing platforms, and developed national operational playbooks that improved execution consistency across more than one thousand stores. His leadership contributed to significant gains in market share, profitability, and operational efficiency while reinforcing Loblaw’s competitive position during periods of rapid industry transformation.

Allan continued expanding his executive impact through leadership positions with The Central Group and ARC Consulting, where he successfully blended operational expertise with business development. As Vice President of Retail, he negotiated the largest customer agreement in company history, grew organizational revenue by more than seventy percent, led cross-border operational teams throughout Canada and the United States, and introduced innovative retail marketing solutions that strengthened long-term customer partnerships. His ability to identify growth opportunities while maintaining operational discipline became one of the defining characteristics of his executive leadership style.

In healthcare, Allan brought the same operational rigor and strategic perspective to dentalcorp, Canada’s largest dental network. Leading operations across seventy-one practices throughout Ontario and Quebec, he oversaw partner development, financial performance, inventory systems, operational training, and succession planning. Under his leadership, the region achieved a remarkable 24.6 percent revenue increase while improving labor efficiency, overhead management, and operating profitability. He also successfully restored multiple underperforming partnerships, created standardized operational training programs adopted nationally, and developed inventory processes that improved consistency across the organization. His leadership demonstrated that operational excellence and exceptional patient care can advance together when supported by strong teams and disciplined execution.

Most recently, Allan served as Market Owner for Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG ER for Pets), where he was recruited to oversee operations throughout Minnesota and Wisconsin while helping establish the company’s Canadian expansion strategy. Responsible for hospital development, staffing, budgeting, financial performance, marketing, and operational execution, he successfully opened three new emergency hospitals while exceeding EBITDA objectives by as much as nineteen percent. He also recruited and developed senior medical and operational leaders, established foundational training programs, and built the operational framework supporting future Canadian growth. His ability to quickly assimilate into new environments while delivering measurable business results further reinforced his reputation as an accomplished transformational executive.
