At Frederick National Laboratory for Cancer Research, Albert served as Senior Vice President of Human Resources, leading strategic HR initiatives that optimized training, talent development, and corporate culture. Prior to that, he was Senior Director of Human Resources at Kolmac Integrated Behavioral Health, where he focused on revamping employee engagement strategies and improving organizational culture. His leadership at OpGen Inc., a precision medicine company, solidified his expertise in HR strategy within cutting-edge biotechnology and life-sciences settings.
Al’s strategic HR leadership extends to the international NGO: Digital Divide Data, as well as Babcock & Wilcox, Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC), Gene Logic Inc., and Corvis. At Babcock & Wilcox, he played a key role in building a nuclear safety culture, workforce planning, and overall HR strategy for its Nuclear Energy Services Division, as well as with Generation mPower LLC, a joint venture with Bechtel Corp. As Vice President of Human Resources at Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC now General Dynamics Info Systems), a $16B global IT services, Government contractor and commercial consulting firm, where he managed HR for its $7 billion Managed Services Sector (IT outsourcing), influencing workforce transformation, talent strategy, and leadership coaching on a global scale. His ingenious HR strategies were instrumental in CSC-MSS winning several multi-billion outsourcing deals.
The cornerstone of Al’s career was his prior stint at Computer Sciences Corporation, where he was appointed global executive for talent development and where he gained an industry-wide reputation as an expert at building market-facing capabilities. Several studies have been published about his work, and he was frequently asked to present papers at industry conferences and to customer groups. A book has also been published detailing his pioneering efforts: Reengineering the Training Function; Dr. Donald Schandler; St. Lucie Press; Delray Beach, FL; 1996. He was also awarded the coveted Chairman’s Award for Excellence by CSC’s CEO.
