Terry Sossong is an accomplished executive leader whose career spans more than three decades across the construction materials, aggregates, asphalt, concrete, and heavy civil industries. Known for his strategic clarity, operational discipline, and steady, people-centered leadership, he has built a reputation for transforming business units, elevating organizational capabilities, and driving sustainable financial performance. Throughout his extensive career, Terry has led complex, vertically integrated operations with full P&L responsibility, consistently delivering measurable growth while developing strong, resilient teams.
From his earliest roles, Terry demonstrated a strong command of finance, operations, and organizational alignment. Beginning as a Financial Analyst with W.R. Grace & Co., he developed core skills in acquisition modeling, discounted cash flow analysis, and competitive assessment—foundational capabilities that shaped his analytical approach to business throughout his career. His subsequent transition to Armstrong World Industries, where he managed a multimillion-dollar regional credit portfolio, refined his ability to assess risk, coach customers, and support revenue expansion through thoughtful financial stewardship.
Terry’s early managerial experiences at McCulloch Corporation and Rogers Group, Inc. accelerated his growth into senior leadership. As Cost Accounting Manager and Assistant Plant Controller, he oversaw production cost tracking, inventory control, bill of materials, and cost-reduction projects spanning U.S. and Mexico operations. When he joined Rogers Group, he progressed through key operational and financial leadership roles, ultimately assuming P&L responsibility for multiple quarries, asphalt plants, and construction operations across Indiana and Tennessee. Here, he not only redesigned corporate budgeting and forecasting but also set a precedent for the integrated operational excellence that would define his leadership style.
His trajectory continued to rise when he transitioned to Aggregate Industries as Vice President and General Manager, where he led a multi-facility concrete block operation supplying the greater Minneapolis–St. Paul region and a ten-state specialty block market. Terry’s leadership strengthened production capabilities, market reach, and operational stability, reaffirming his ability to drive performance in diverse materials sectors. His next role as Vice President and General Manager for Houston Shell & Concrete (later part of CEMEX) further expanded his impact. In this position, he guided ready-mix operations, aggregate quarries, and asphalt production, navigating the complexities of vertically integrated business units with a focus on safety, productivity, and sustainable profitability.
Terry’s success as a senior operator positioned him well for broader executive roles. As COO and subsequently CAO of Diamond B Construction, he oversaw all operating divisions and later directed critical administrative functions, including Accounting, HR, IT, Safety, and Risk Management. His ability to balance operational execution with organizational infrastructure demonstrated a rare versatility, enabling him to bring cohesion to multiple departments while maintaining a sharp focus on long-term business stability.
Building on this momentum, Terry joined Granite Construction as Northern California Manager of Construction Materials. There, he assumed responsibility for regional aggregate and asphalt operations, reinforcing market competitiveness and operational efficiency across key business lines. His leadership in this role further cemented his reputation as a reliable steward of multimillion-dollar assets who could inspire teams, manage complexity, and execute strategic vision.
In addition to his corporate leadership roles, Terry founded Broadview Consulting, LLC—a construction materials consulting firm specializing in growth initiatives, operational optimization, recycled materials integration, and market analysis. Through Broadview, he has applied his deep industry expertise to support companies in evaluating acquisitions, expanding properties, and implementing cost-saving measures. His consulting work reflects both his entrepreneurial mindset and his commitment to elevating companies across the sector.
Terry’s long-term role as Principal and Manager of Stones River Quarry further highlights his mastery of P&L management and quarry operations. There, he has provided hands-on leadership, reinforcing strong financial performance, operational reliability, and consistent growth. His work exemplifies the disciplined management, problem-solving acuity, and relationship-driven leadership that have become hallmarks of his career.
Beyond the technical and financial capabilities he brings to every organization, Terry is recognized for his values—integrity, communication, and an unwavering commitment to team development. He believes that operational excellence is built on strong processes but sustained by people who feel empowered, informed, and supported. Over more than 30 years, he has cultivated high-performing teams that deliver results not only because of sound strategy but because of clear expectations and mutual trust.

His academic foundation includes an MBA in Finance from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, postgraduate work at the University of Memphis, and a BA in Business/Economics from the University of Pittsburgh. Additionally, he holds a Six Sigma Green Belt, reinforcing his commitment to data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement.
