Shannon Callahan is a global consumer and brand executive with more than 20 years of experience building and transforming businesses across some of the world’s most recognized brands, including Calvin Klein, Nike, and Nordstrom. Her career spans consumer and product strategy, merchandising, direct-to-consumer and wholesale, category transformation, and international growth. She is known for translating consumer and marketplace insight into clear strategic opportunities—connecting brand, product, experience, and commercial strategy to drive sustainable growth.
Today, Shannon serves as Vice President of Global Merchandising at Calvin Klein, where she leads long-term merchandising strategy for the Men’s Close to Body business. She shapes category vision, product architecture, consumer segmentation, and growth roadmaps across channels and global markets, partnering with executive leadership to influence broader brand strategy, investment priorities, and marketplace opportunities. Previously, as Senior Director of Global Merchandising, she led strategy across the broader Close to Body business, including major category transformation and new growth initiatives spanning product, positioning, distribution, and consumer reach.
Prior to Calvin Klein, Shannon spent nearly seven years at Nike in global merchandising and direct-to-consumer leadership roles. Across Women’s Apparel, performance categories, and Nike Factory Stores, she developed strategies that expanded consumer reach, strengthened core franchises, entered new markets, and delivered significant commercial growth. Her work included global product segmentation, international market expansion, inclusive sizing, product lifecycle strategy, and the repositioning of key categories around evolving consumer behavior. Earlier in her career, Shannon spent more than a decade at Nordstrom, progressing from store and regional roles into national buying leadership—giving her a foundational understanding of the consumer, retail economics, inventory, pricing, vendor partnerships, and the connection between marketplace execution and enterprise strategy.
Across these experiences, Shannon has developed a particularly strong ability to identify whitespace and understand where a business can evolve next. She has worked across North America, Europe, Asia, and Greater China and has led highly cross-functional organizations spanning Design, Supply, Product Development, Marketing, Finance, Planning, Sales, Operations, and regional teams. Her leadership style is people-first and highly collaborative, with an emphasis on building strong teams, challenging established thinking, and creating alignment around a clear commercial objective.
Alongside her corporate leadership, Shannon has expanded her perspective through advisory and consulting work with startups and growth-stage businesses. This experience has given her a valuable lens across both ends of the business spectrum: the scale, systems, and operating discipline of global corporations alongside the speed, creativity, and resourcefulness required to build emerging brands. She is particularly drawn to consumer-facing businesses navigating growth, transformation, or changing consumer behavior, where her experience connecting brand, product, customer experience, and commercial strategy can translate across industries.
As a board and advisory leader, Shannon brings a consumer-centered perspective grounded in both strategy and execution. She is particularly well positioned to support consumer-facing organizations navigating growth and commercialization, brand evolution, changing consumer behavior, new market or channel expansion, portfolio strategy, and organizational scale. Her experience enables her to look across brand, product, customer experience, and commercial performance—bringing a perspective that extends beyond any single category or industry. She combines curiosity and commercial rigor with an ability to connect ideas across disciplines, helping leadership teams look beyond what a business is today toward what it has the potential to become.
