Rex Sherry is a high-impact, senior  financial services professional  and executive with over three decades of leadership experience in investment banking, financial services and asset management. His illustrious career spans multiple top-tier financial institutions in senior management roles, during which he has managed revenue businesses exceeding $200 million and successfully raised over $130 billion in capital. A recognized expert in capital markets, he has led over 80 initial public offerings (IPOs) and has deep expertise and significant experience  in equity and debt capital raising, financial structuring, mergers and acquisitions, and scaling companies to over $1 billion in revenue.

As Managing Partner at Klamath Technology Credit Partners since 2017, Rex has focused on providing substantial private credit financing to pre-IPO, venture-backed companies. Under his leadership, the firm has sourced over $2 billion in direct investments across more than 20 companies and established a robust network of over 35 private equity, private credit, global asset managers, and pension funds. His ability to structure sizable loans and strategically position companies for the public markets has made Klamath a trusted partner for high-growth organizations.

Rex has also served as a senior consultant at Clark Street Associates, a unique Government advisory boutique since 2016. Rex has played a critical role in securing over $500 million in Government awards for clients. His strategic insights and business acumen have helped the firm achieve remarkable growth, including a 500% increase in revenues and more than 200% increase in personnel .

Before these roles, Rex held numerous senior positions at leading investment banks, where he demonstrated a consistent ability to build and transform businesses. The bulk of his career was spent at Montgomery Securities/Banc of America Securities, Merrill Lynch  & Co and Bear Stearns & Co where he ran key practice areas and the overall technology practices and significantly contributed to the leadership and revenue growth of those businesses.

At Merrill Lynch, he built the technology investment banking franchise into one of the top three globally, tripling revenues and doubling staff. His early career as Head of Semiconductor Investment Banking at Montgomery Securities/Banc of America Securities saw him involved in over 70 IPOs and $40 billion in mergers and acquisitions.

In addition to his corporate achievements, Rex is deeply engaged in corporate governance. As a founding board member of the Silicon Valley Directors Exchange, he advocates for best practices in board leadership and oversight. His ability to align strategic goals with financial planning, team leadership, and corporate governance has been a cornerstone of his success.

A graduate of the University of Washington with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Rex brings a blend of academic rigor and real-world expertise to his work.
