Michael Joseph Venditti Jr. is a transformational technology executive whose distinguished career spans more than four decades of leading enterprise innovation, operational excellence, and organizational transformation across some of the world’s most recognized financial institutions. Throughout his career, Michael has consistently demonstrated that technology leadership is about far more than implementing systems—it is about empowering people, modernizing organizations, managing risk, and aligning technology with strategic business objectives. His unique combination of executive leadership, technical expertise, and commitment to developing talent has enabled global organizations to successfully navigate digital transformation while improving efficiency, governance, and long-term business performance.

With a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Pace University, where he graduated Cum Laude, Michael built a strong technical foundation that evolved into an accomplished executive career leading enterprise technology organizations at companies including Wells Fargo, Refinitiv, Deutsche Bank, Citigroup , Credit Suisse  and NYNEX. His progression from software engineering and project leadership into senior executive roles reflects both exceptional technical capability and an innate ability to inspire teams, build consensus, and deliver measurable business outcomes. Throughout every stage of his career, Michael has remained committed to continuous learning, innovation, and creating environments where people and organizations can thrive together.

Most recently, Michael serves as an Independent Consultant and Executive Technology Advisor, partnering with organizations to guide strategic technology initiatives, cloud modernization, quality engineering, regulatory compliance, and emerging technology adoption. In this capacity, he provides executive-level insight that helps organizations strengthen governance, improve operational performance, reduce technology risk, and make informed investment decisions. His consulting work reflects his passion for mentoring executives and helping businesses leverage technology as a catalyst for sustainable growth and competitive advantage. As a Boardsi Executive Advisor and Board Candidate, he is actively seeking opportunities to contribute his experience in governance, digital transformation, AI strategy, and enterprise technology leadership to organizations pursuing long-term success.

Prior to his current Independent Consultant and Executive Technology Advisory role, Michael served as Executive/Technology Director and Senior Vice President of Corporate Technology at Wells Fargo, where he led Enterprise Testing Enablement for one of the world’s largest financial institutions. Responsible for quality engineering platforms supporting more than 15,000 global users, he achieved an exceptional 99.99% platform uptime while defining and executing the enterprise vision for Quality Engineering and Testing Enablement. Under his leadership, standardized engineering frameworks significantly improved scalability and reliability, while the introduction of shift left quality engineering and Visual AI innovations reduced production incidents significantly. Michael also established a global internal consulting practice that accelerated engineering productivity, institutionalized best practices across the enterprise, and strengthened collaboration between technology and executive leadership. His leadership fostered a culture of accountability and engagement that substantially elevated employee satisfaction while directly supporting the organization’s strategic growth objectives.

Michael previously worked at Refinitiv (now a division of the London Stock Exchange Group, LSEG). He initially joined as a consultant through TalentNet, Inc., before transitioning into a full-time executive role as Director of Product Engineering Test Delivery (PETD) within Technology Quality Engineering (TQE). In this role, he continued to oversee the same functions he had led as a consultant: providing strategic oversight of global test delivery operations for PETD while concurrently serving as Acting Global Product Manager for the TQE suite and holding executive accountability for the division’s financials and vendor governance. Michael pioneered the organization’s first enterprise-wide Quality and Testing Policy, establishing governance standards that strengthened audit readiness, regulatory compliance, and enterprise-wide consistency. He also introduced Testing as a Service (TaaS) into the CI/CD pipeline, accelerating software delivery while improving product quality and operational resilience. Shortly after becoming a full-time employee, Michael was promoted to Global Head of TQE, where he directed a large global organization of technology quality engineering professionals and managed an operating budget exceeding $90 million. In this expanded role, he led the centralization and subsequent federation of TQE functions across all business verticals, achieving a 98% test effectiveness rate—limiting defects to just two per 100 in production—which significantly mitigated financial and reputational risk within the firm’s global financial markets. His tenure transformed enterprise technology quality engineering through Agile, DevOps, automation, and continuous integration practices. His leadership was recognized when he named as a member of 2 of the winning Refinitiv teams for the North American Software Testing Awards for both “Testing Management Team” and “Best Test Automation Project Functional”.

At Deutsche Bank, Michael held the corporate title of Director within Group Technology Operations, where he served in several functional roles across Quality Engineering. He initially focused on establishing operational excellence by standardizing quality engineering practices globally to ensure consistent delivery and regulatory compliance. He was subsequently promoted, in function, to Global Head of Quality Engineering, leading one of the industry’s largest such organizations, overseeing more than 1,400 professionals worldwide responsible for enterprise testing, automation, and technology operations. Managing a €50 million portfolio, Michael spearheaded a comprehensive transformation that shifted the organization from a centralized operating model to a federated enterprise framework aligned with global CIO priorities. By embedding quality engineering into Agile and DevOps frameworks, he accelerated release cycles and improved system reliability. Building on the federated model, and through standardized testing methodologies, enhanced automation, stronger governance, and data-driven quality metrics, he reduced production incidents by 74 percent while increasing software reliability and improving the customer experience across critical banking systems. His executive leadership on the firm’s Top 50 Program Steering Committee further demonstrated his ability to influence enterprise-wide strategy, operational excellence, and technology modernization at the highest organizational levels.

Michael’s earlier career provided the breadth of experience that shaped his executive perspective. During his tenure with Credit Suisse, he held progressively senior leadership positions in Global Information Technology including Director, Vice President, Assistant Vice President, and Global Program Manager, leading initiatives spanning financial systems, program management, enterprise applications, quality assurance, software engineering, and global technology operations. Additional leadership roles with Citigroup and NYNEX expanded his expertise across investment banking, telecommunications, capital markets, enterprise infrastructure, systems development, financial controls, and large-scale organizational transformation. These experiences established Michael as a well-rounded executive capable of leading complex global initiatives while balancing innovation, governance, operational performance, and business strategy.

Beyond his executive accomplishments, Michael has continuously embraced emerging technologies and lifelong learning. His expertise spans Quality Engineering  Policy as Code, Data as a Service, Platform as a Service, Zero Touch Deploy, Sox Compliance, regulatory compliance, risk management, process optimization, and organizational transformation. Recent certifications from Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud further demonstrate his commitment to responsible AI, cloud governance, and modern technology platforms. He combines deep technical knowledge with exceptional executive communication, stakeholder engagement, coaching, mentoring, and inclusive leadership, enabling organizations to navigate technological disruption while strengthening organizational culture.

Michael’s professional contributions have earned national recognition throughout his career. In 2025, he received the prestigious Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award, Marquis Distinguished Leader Award, and Honored Listee recognition from Marquis Who’s Who. His accomplishments have also been featured by both Forbes and The Wall Street Journal, highlighting his decades of innovation, leadership, and impact within enterprise technology. Earlier in his career, he was recognized as a finalist for the Credit Suisse CEO Corporate Citizen Award, underscoring not only his technical achievements but also his commitment to leadership, service, and community engagement.

Outside of his professional responsibilities, Michael values family, health, and personal growth. He believes authentic leadership begins with integrity, empathy, and a genuine commitment to helping others reach their full potential. His involvement with organizations supporting diversity, equity inclusion, and the LGBTQ+ community reflects his dedication to building workplaces where every individual has the opportunity to contribute and succeed. Guided by his personal motto, “Be the Best You Can Be,” Michael approaches every opportunity with optimism, accountability, and a servant-leadership mindset that prioritizes both organizational success and individual development. Michael credits much of his success to his two longtime mentors and former managers, Allyson Stuart and Joyce Golden. They taught him that technology leadership is about far more than implementing systems—it is about empowering people, modernizing organizations, managing risk, and aligning technology with strategic business objectives. He remains forever grateful to both of them for believing in him and for guiding him toward success through their steady mentorship

Today, Michael is pursuing board and advisory opportunities where he can apply more than forty years of executive experience to help organizations strengthen governance, accelerate digital transformation, adopt artificial intelligence responsibly, improve operational resilience, and navigate increasingly complex technology landscapes.
