“Treat others the way you want to be treated.”

Mathew Levine is a seasoned entrepreneur, senior executive, healthcare innovator, and business builder whose career spans medical technology, healthcare services, hospitality, product development, and corporate leadership. His professional journey combines Fortune 50 experience with entrepreneurial success, giving him a broad perspective on how organizations innovate, operate, scale, serve customers, and create lasting enterprise value. From developing medical and surgical technologies at Johnson & Johnson and Pfizer to founding, growing, and successfully exiting businesses in healthcare and hospitality, Mathew has consistently demonstrated an ability to translate ideas into sustainable results.

Throughout his career, Mathew has combined strategic thinking with hands-on operating experience. Having worked within major corporations and built companies from the ground up, he brings the perspective of a scientist, product developer, corporate leader, founder, operator, and owner.

Mathew began his career with a strong scientific and analytical foundation. After earning a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Chemistry, he worked in analytical and research chemistry, including positions with Richardson Chemical Corporation and Sun Chemical Corporation. These early experiences sharpened his problem-solving abilities and introduced him to the discipline required to improve technical processes, maintain quality standards, and develop products for demanding commercial applications. His work at Sun Chemical included developing proprietary water-based protective coatings and inks used by nationally recognized brands, providing an early introduction to product innovation and commercialization.

His career soon progressed into Research & Product Development at Johnson & Johnson. Mathew advanced from Scientist to Group Leader for Tapes & Bandages within the Adhesives Technology Group of Research & Product Development, leading product-development programs and multidisciplinary teams. His responsibilities required close coordination among research, engineering, manufacturing, quality, regulatory, marketing, and other functional areas. Notably, less than one year before its scheduled launch, Mathew was selected by senior R&D and Engineering management to take over the troubled BAND-AID® Medicated program. He led the program through final product development, FDA 510(k) clearance, manufacturing process and site decisions, production scale-up, and the scheduled national launch, giving him early experience leading a novel product through the intersection of scientific innovation, regulatory requirements, manufacturing, and commercialization.

Mathew continued his healthcare leadership career with Pfizer, where he advanced from Manager to Director of Research and Product Development within the Valleylab Division. In this capacity, he led research departments and multidisciplinary project teams responsible for polymer adhesive dressings, electrodes, electrosurgical products, and ultrasonic surgical devices. He managed sophisticated development initiatives involving multimillion-dollar budgets and worked across technical, regulatory, manufacturing, marketing, financial, and commercial functions to move products from concept toward commercialization. His ability to connect technical innovation with practical market needs became a defining strength throughout his career.

A pivotal shift occurred while Mathew was working directly with surgeons who were evaluating and learning to use newly developed surgical technologies. Through those relationships, he became increasingly aware of the administrative and financial challenges physicians faced in managing their practices. Recognizing an opportunity to solve a meaningful business problem, Mathew founded Healthcare Technologies, Inc. (Formerly Proclaim Healthcare) in 1995. The company provided high-level consulting, insurance contracting, medical billing, and revenue cycle management services to specialty physician groups throughout Colorado.

Over nearly two decades, Mathew transformed Healthcare Technologies from an entrepreneurial concept into a successful healthcare services organization. He directed strategy, operations, business development, technology, staffing, financial management, and client relationships while establishing processes designed to improve productivity, accuracy, accountability, and profitability. The company grew to approximately $2.5 million in annual B2B revenue and achieved strong and consistent profitability while managing approximately $100 million in annual medical billings. Mathew successfully sold the company in 2014, reflecting nearly two decades of sustained growth, operational execution, and long-term client relationships.

Following the successful exit of Healthcare Technologies, Mathew entered an entirely different industry. He founded Mountain Vista Vacation Properties LLC, which operated an iTrip Vacations franchise serving Colorado resort communities, and served as its President for more than a decade. In that role, he oversaw strategy, operations, business development, property-owner relationships, guest services, financial management, vendor partnerships, regulatory compliance, and marketing.

Mathew differentiated Mountain Vista Vacation Properties through a strong focus on customer service and relationship management. The business earned recognition as a finalist in the Customer Service Champion category of the Summit County Chamber of Commerce Business Excellence Awards and was nominated for Best of Summit. After navigating more than a decade of growth, market change, and regulatory complexity, Mathew exited the business in 2026, demonstrating the transferability of his leadership and operating experience across distinctly different industries.

Across these varied chapters, Mathew has developed expertise in entrepreneurship, strategic planning, P&L leadership, business development, financial and operational oversight, client relationship management, process improvement, complex project management, and executive decision-making. He is particularly well suited to privately held, growth-oriented, and middle-market companies where practical experience, thoughtful prioritization, and sound judgment can contribute to strategic decision-making.

Mathew’s professional philosophy is grounded in a simple but enduring principle: “Treat others the way you want to be treated.” That value is reflected in his customer-focused leadership style as well as his community involvement. He has served through Rotary International, including committee leadership and work supporting community health initiatives, and has volunteered with organizations supporting children, individuals who are blind or dyslexic, breast cancer research, and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. These efforts demonstrate a commitment to service that extends beyond the organizations he has led professionally.

At this stage of his career, Mathew is focused on bringing his accumulated experience to Boards of Directors and Advisory Boards where he can help organizations address growth, strategy, operational performance, customer experience, financial discipline, innovation, and long-term value creation. He is particularly interested in healthcare, medical technology, healthcare services, revenue cycle management, hospitality, and business services, while remaining open to opportunities in other industries where his cross-industry experience as an executive, entrepreneur, and owner/operator can add value.
