Kimberli Roberts is a transformational nurse leader whose unwavering commitment to education, equity, and excellence has shaped the future of healthcare learning environments and student success across the United States. With a career spanning more than 27 years, Kimberli has continuously pushed boundaries—elevating standards in nursing education through systems-level thinking, innovative programming, and strategic oversight. Her work reflects not only her academic rigor and professional discipline but also her deeply rooted belief that sustainable healthcare transformation begins with empowered, well-prepared nurses.

Her journey began at the bedside, where Kimberli honed her clinical acumen across emergency rooms, critical care units, and home health services. Early roles at institutions such as Emory University Hospital and WellStar Health System laid a foundation in high-pressure, patient-centric care, preparing her for the leadership demands she would later take on. This direct clinical experience remains central to her leadership philosophy—ensuring that every educational decision she makes stays connected to the realities of nursing practice and patient outcomes.

Transitioning from practitioner to educator, Kimberli soon found her calling in nursing education. She taught across esteemed institutions including Chamberlain College of Nursing, Kennesaw State University, and the University of West Georgia. As a faculty member and later course coordinator, she brought clarity and compassion to subjects such as Adult Health and Mental Health Nursing. Her students consistently benefited from her hands-on teaching approach, deep industry knowledge, and sincere investment in their success.

Kimberli’s leadership trajectory accelerated during her time as Program Director for the Practical Nursing Program at Dignity School of Nursing. In this role, she designed and implemented a high-impact, equity-focused curriculum model that prioritized academic rigor and student empowerment. Under her stewardship, the program received full Georgia Board of Nursing approval and achieved a 100% NCLEX first-time pass rate—a testament to her ability to combine visionary planning with measurable outcomes.

Further solidifying her impact, Kimberli served as the Principal Investigator and Project Director for a multi-year Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) grant. Her work included meticulous grant management, compliance monitoring, and the development of performance metrics that ensured not only resource optimization but also long-term program viability. Impressively, her reporting required zero revisions across all cycles—an accomplishment rarely achieved in federally funded initiatives.

At Chattahoochee Technical College, Kimberli served as the Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) Program Director, where she demonstrated exceptional leadership in directing the program and coordinating courses across the curriculum. She successfully maintained ACEN accreditation standards and led initiatives for continuous quality surveillance and improvement. Under her leadership, the program consistently sustained an impressive 97–100% NCLEX pass rate, and was recognized as the #1 undergraduate nursing program in the state of Georgia. Graduates of the program were highly sought after by employers, often securing industry positions over candidates with BSN degrees. Kimberli’s strategic leadership fostered a culture of excellence rooted in compassion, accountability, and academic rigor, ensuring that students were both well-prepared and highly competitive in the healthcare workforce.

Kimberli’s influence is not limited to the classroom or administrative office. As a public speaker in the healthcare space, she has presented on topics ranging from workforce readiness and academic equity to licensure strategies and holistic admissions practices. These engagements have allowed her to share best practices nationally, reinforcing her reputation as a thought leader and advocate for high-quality, accessible nursing education.

Her educational background is equally robust. Kimberli is currently pursuing her PhD in Nursing at Duquesne University, demonstrating her commitment to lifelong learning and research-based leadership. She holds a Master of Science in Nursing with a focus on Clinical Nurse Leadership from the University of West Georgia, a Post-Master’s Certificate in Nursing Education from Chamberlain University, a BSN from Kaplan University, and an Associate of Science in Nursing from Marymount University. Her academic foundation is enriched by diverse certifications and a rich history of applied clinical practice.

She believes that equitable access to high-quality education is a social justice imperative, particularly within the nursing profession. By aligning compassionate leadership with strategic planning, she creates systems that not only educate but empower—improving institutional performance, securing funding, and preparing nurses to thrive in an evolving healthcare landscape.
