Joseph Eletto is a C-suite executive, an attorney, and an operational strategist, whose long career has been defined by transformative leadership in the transportation and logistics industry, enhanced by his knowledge as an attorney. Joseph’s professional story began in the legal world. After earning his Juris Doctor from St. John’s University School of Law and joining the New York State Bar, he launched his career as an associate attorney at a law firm on Long Island, New York. Specializing in trust and estate law, bankruptcy, contract law, and real estate, he quickly gained a reputation for diligence, analytical precision, and empathetic client engagement. This early grounding in legal principles became a bedrock for his future executive decisions, enabling him to blend legal foresight with operational command.

Due to his father’s untimely passing, Joseph transitioned into the business previously started by his father, Joseph Eletto Transfer, Inc., a north-east regional logistics and transportation enterprise. He began as Vice President and rose to the office of President and CEO, over which time the business expanded to a nationwide enterprise, quadrupling revenue, growing from 6 offices to 22 offices, culminating with a work force of over 150 employees and 400 subcontractors, with Fortune 500 customers, some being, Macy’s and Saks Fifth Avenue. Joseph was fully engaged in every operational layer of the business, the development of people, strategizing growth, managing finances, negotiating contracts, ensuring regulatory compliance and overseeing insurance and legal needs.

Joseph’s leadership was distinguished by his vision for efficiency and business sustainability. He led the company’s digital transformation, streamlining processes and introducing data-informed decision-making frameworks. He combined this with a proactive HR approach, fostering a culture of an open-door policy, accountability, engagement, and continuous departmental improvement. Joseph utilized his legal knowledge to enhance and protect the many relationships of the business entity.

Joseph then brought his expertise to Commercial Trailer Leasing Co. (CTL), where he served as Chief Operating Officer and in house Council, from 2017 to 2024. During this pivotal time, the company experienced unprecedented growth, doubling in both headcount and revenue. Joseph was instrumental in all aspects of the business, the executive and team hiring process, in creating a formal HR department, expanding financial oversight functions, and modernizing IT infrastructure, while enhancing operational execution. Once again, Joseph utilized his legal knowledge to enhance and protect the many relationships of the business entity.

Joseph’s tenure at CTL culminated in the strategic acquisition of CTL by a prominent investment group, where he ensured a seamless transition and he then continued serving in the COO role and in house council roles, for the buyer, for approximately a year post acquisition. His efforts, in his support of CTL’s prior success and in preparing CTL for acquisition, including M&A due diligence, proved essential to the company’s successful sale of CTL. 

Joseph chose to retire from the corporate world in mid-2024, leaving behind a legacy of structured scalability, cultural cohesion, and impressive EBITDA growth. Joseph returned to the industry shortly thereafter as an independent consultant. His advisory work allowed him to leverage his unique cross-disciplinary skills, operations, customer service, ERP integration and legal background to enhance departmental effectiveness and client satisfaction.

Joseph’s unique ability to bridge the connections between legal compliance, operational performance, and strategic planning, is unique and holds significant value. He is not simply a leader or an attorney, he is a people and business unifier who builds alignment between vision, structure, and execution. Whether he is negotiating high-stakes contracts, optimizing fleet logistics, supporting legal matters, or mentoring future leaders, Joseph’s methodical yet empathetic style leaves a lasting impact on teams and organizations alike.

Joseph maintains strong connections in both the business and legal communities. Though he is no longer seeking full-time executive roles, Joseph remains passionate about advising growth-focused companies through board memberships or strategic consulting opportunities.
