Currently, John serves as CEO and board member of UroCure, LLC, a healthcare company he co-founded. Amid the challenges of the global pandemic, he led the company in raising $9 million and successfully developing and launching three innovative slings for the treatment of female stress urinary incontinence. He also secured a strategic partnership with a European company which provided growth capital and commercial synergies. Under his leadership, UroCure introduced a series of operational and service innovations that strengthened the brand, reduced enterprise risk and enhanced the company’s commercial model.
Before UroCure, John served as a strategic advisor to PE and VC firms and emerging company boards. He originated and led diligence on a $100M carve-out opportunity with Warburg Pincus. He was also engaged by the board of an Israeli medical device company to develop a US commercialization and fundraising strategy.
Prior, John revitalized KSpine, Inc., a venture-funded medical device company developing novel surgical technology for scoliosis. Recruited by leading VC firms, he redefined the company’s market offering, led a 12-month global fundraising and strategic alternative process that culminated in an asset sale to K2M.
John’s tenure at American Medical Systems (AMS) reflects his extraordinary capability to drive organizational transformation at scale. Serving in multiple senior leadership roles over 11 years, he led the Women’s Health business through a period of accelerated growth, achieving top market share in the pelvic floor segment and ultimately contributing to a successful $2.9 billion acquisition by Endo International. His leadership in strategic corporate development, including M&A activity and global regulatory alignment, positioned AMS as a double-digit growth market leader with an operating margin of 28 percent.
