Dr. Jenny Morey is an accomplished behavioral healthcare executive, licensed clinical psychologist, and board leader whose career reflects a steadfast commitment to improving mental health services and strengthening organizations that serve vulnerable populations. With more than 20 years of progressive experience across behavioral health, psychology, clinical operations, executive leadership, and healthcare governance, she has built a reputation as a compassionate leader who combines clinical expertise with strategic business acumen. Her ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, improve organizational performance, and advocate for patient-centered care has positioned her as a respected executive within the behavioral healthcare industry and an emerging voice in healthcare governance.

Currently serving as Chief Executive Officer of Discovery Behavioral Health, Dr. Morey leads a newly established 72-bed behavioral health campus dedicated to adolescents experiencing complex mental health and eating disorder diagnoses. The facility includes specialized treatment programs under Discovery Mood & Anxiety and Center for Discovery, delivering comprehensive, evidence-based care for young patients and their families. As CEO, she oversees all aspects of executive leadership, including operational performance, clinical quality, financial stewardship, regulatory compliance, staff development, and organizational culture. Her leadership philosophy centers on creating environments where both patients and professionals can thrive while maintaining the highest standards of compassionate care.

In addition to her executive responsibilities, Dr. Morey serves as Governing Board Chair for Chapman Global Medical Center, where she facilitates quarterly board meetings and helps guide strategic oversight for the organization. Her appointment to this leadership position reflects the confidence healthcare leaders place in her judgment, governance capabilities, and ability to balance strategic vision with operational accountability. Through her board service, she contributes valuable insight into healthcare quality, compliance, executive oversight, and long-term organizational sustainability while helping ensure the medical center continues fulfilling its mission to serve the community.

Prior to becoming CEO, Dr. Morey served as Executive Director and Regional Clinical Director for Pinnacle Health Group Network, where she provided executive leadership across multiple behavioral healthcare facilities throughout Los Angeles and Orange County. In this capacity, she successfully directed regional clinical operations, strengthened organizational performance, enhanced treatment quality, and supported multidisciplinary teams responsible for delivering high-quality behavioral healthcare services. Her ability to unite operational excellence with clinical integrity became a defining characteristic of her leadership style and prepared her for broader executive responsibilities.

Earlier in her career, Dr. Morey served as Clinical Director at Nsight Psychology & Addiction, an emotionally focused treatment program emphasizing healthy relationships as the foundation for sustainable recovery. She also practiced as a Licensed Clinical Psychologist with Orange County Health Psychologists, specializing in depression, anxiety disorders, body image concerns, stress management, and life transitions. Her therapeutic philosophy embraces the interconnected relationship between mind, body, and spirit, allowing her to provide individualized care that addresses the whole person rather than simply treating symptoms. This holistic perspective continues to influence her executive leadership and organizational decision-making.

Dr. Morey developed much of her executive foundation during nearly seven years with Telecare Corporation, where she advanced through several progressively responsible leadership roles. As Administrator of the Mental Health Urgent Care Center, Assistant Administrator of La Casa Mental Health Rehabilitation Center, and Administrator of STEPS OC, she managed complex behavioral health programs, supervised multidisciplinary teams, ensured regulatory compliance, and implemented operational improvements that enhanced both patient care and organizational effectiveness. These experiences provided invaluable exposure to crisis services, rehabilitation, community behavioral health, and executive healthcare administration.

Her early professional journey was grounded in direct clinical practice, beginning with multiple roles at BHC Alhambra Hospital, where she served in case management, assessment and referral, outpatient services, and clinical coordination. She also gained valuable experience with Canyon Ridge Hospital and The Children’s Collective, further strengthening her expertise in psychotherapy, crisis intervention, family therapy, and behavioral health treatment. Because she has worked across every level of behavioral healthcare—from frontline clinician to executive leader—Dr. Morey possesses an uncommon understanding of the challenges healthcare organizations face and the practical solutions required to improve patient outcomes.

Committed to developing future professionals, Dr. Morey also served as faculty at the University of Phoenix, sharing her clinical knowledge and leadership experience with students pursuing careers in psychology and healthcare. Beyond academia, she has participated in speaking engagements focused on cosmetology, health, and wellness, promoting mental health awareness within the cosmetology industry and encouraging professionals to recognize the important connection between emotional well-being and overall health. Her willingness to educate others reflects her belief that leadership extends beyond organizational boundaries and includes mentoring, advocacy, and community engagement.

Dr. Morey’s professional expertise spans behavioral health administration, executive leadership, healthcare operations, case management, clinical psychology, family therapy, crisis intervention, clinical research, adolescent behavioral health, organizational development, governance, and strategic planning. She is recognized for building collaborative cultures that empower clinicians, strengthen operational performance, and improve patient experiences. Her leadership consistently reflects empathy, accountability, transparency, and an unwavering commitment to excellence while balancing financial sustainability with compassionate healthcare delivery.

Outside of her executive responsibilities, Dr. Morey remains passionate about advancing behavioral health interventions, improving access to mental health services, advocating for animal health, and promoting personal health and wellness. She believes meaningful leadership is rooted in service, continuous learning, and the ability to inspire others toward a shared mission. As she expands her board service, she seeks opportunities to contribute her extensive behavioral healthcare experience, executive leadership expertise, and governance perspective to organizations committed to improving lives.
