Jeanan Yasiri Moe is a distinguished executive with robust experience in governance, change management and communications strategy. With extensive leadership experience on corporate and nonprofit boards and in organizations, she is well-known for facilitating alliances and developing forward thinking-strategies for growth. Her passion lies in service – to people, programs and organizations committed to positive outcomes.
As a board chair, Jeanan leads the Give Back Foundation Board, which holds the federal contract for delivering the technology platform for the world’s largest workplace giving campaign. She also serves as Governance Chair and as a Trustee for Edgewood College, advocating for new international alliances resulting in unprecedented graduate enrollment in the last year. Jeanan served on the corporate board of Total Administrative Services Corporation (TASC), a financial firm that is the nation’s largest privately held third-party administrator of employee benefits and also a family-owned enterprise. During her decade long tenure on the board, she was proud to celebrate TASC’s unprecedented growth. Additionally, she served on the publicly held Wellpoint Medicaid Advisory Panel.
Jeanan’s service as a leader and board member includes Chairing the Committee on Equity, Diversity & Student Welfare for the University of Wisconsin (UW) Athletics Board during both the COVID crisis and an athletic director transition; Chair of the Friends of PBS Wisconsin Board leading the evolution to a statewide board resulting in unparalleled donor engagement; Board member for the Wisconsin Collaborative for Healthcare Quality as well as serving on several other health and community related nonprofit boards and State of Wisconsin councils appointed by the Governor of the State of Wisconsin over several years.
Jeanan has earned recognition as a Certified Director with the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) and earned the NACD Certification in Cyber-Risk Oversight through Carnegie Mellon University. She is a Fellow in the American College of Medical Practice Executives and a member of the Private Directors Association. She earned her Master of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with study in business, economics, and strategies for engaging consumers.
With 25 years dedicated as a healthcare executive and pioneer in practice innovation and patient advocacy, Jeanan led nationally award-winning programs that drove provider efficiency and effectiveness, facilitated patient centered outcomes in clinical practices while also enhancing access to care for underserved populations. She was also in charge of new business alliances including merger and acquisition strategies.
As an executive in higher education, she founded and led the UW’s Center for Nonprofits as well as taught courses to over 5,000 students, including one course on entrepreneurship broadcast statewide over four years. As an NBC-affiliate executive in broadcast media, she facilitated regular ownership changes while maintaining high quality content on-air.
Today, Jeanan is the chief marketing, communications and public affairs lead for the Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation (WARF) which provides technology transfer for the brilliant research conducted at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Her change management and communications leadership has supported the organization’s transformation of its operations and growth of its business lines over the last decade. She leads cutting-edge digital marketing strategies as well as strategic stakeholder engagement as WARF enters its next century of service to the UW and the world in technology development.
