As the director and founder of Southwestern Arid Grassland Ecology, Inc., a nonprofit based in Tucson, Arizona, Forrest leads initiatives focused on environmental restoration, conservation, and sustainable land management. For over 13 years, he supplied fresh produce and lamb to local restaurants while managing hay production and distribution for horse owners. Forrest’s career began with an esteemed 20-year tenure in the United States Navy as a psychologist. His work encompassed general therapy, military family support, and personnel selection programs. Notably, he developed and implemented a family support system for a Marine Corps Base and designed a selection and support program for U.S. Marines serving as embassy guards worldwide. His expertise in mental health, leadership, and organizational support has equipped him with valuable skills in strategic planning, crisis management, and interpersonal relations.

With international exposure across 85 countries, Forrest brings a global perspective to his work. He has interacted with diverse cultures and environments, strengthening his ability to navigate complex projects and cross-functional collaborations. He is also a seasoned public speaker, comfortable presenting on various topics related to environmental science, nonprofit development, and psychology.

Forrest holds a Psy.D. in psychology from United States International University and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Rhode Island. His strong academic background has complemented his professional endeavors, allowing him to integrate scientific research, behavioral insights, and environmental strategies into his leadership roles.
