“Strategy is Only as Powerful as the Empathy Behind It.”

Eugene Coleman is a distinguished technology executive whose career spans over 25 years of pioneering work across digital transformation, customer experience innovation, enterprise architecture, and go-to-market excellence. Renowned for blending deep technical fluency with strategic foresight, Eugene has built a legacy around empowering organizations to align technology with customer value. His passion lies in refining the buyer’s journey, not just as a transactional process, but as a critical driver of organizational growth, loyalty, and identity.

Eugene’s journey into technology leadership began with a bold entrepreneurial venture in the 1990s, co-founding ISC DataMed Inc., a healthcare software company. Under his technical leadership as CTO, the startup grew to over $7 million in revenue and was successfully acquired. This formative experience laid the foundation for Eugene’s distinct approach: blending technical engineering prowess with a relentless focus on client success and business viability. From the start, he recognized that technology was not the end goal—it was the enabler of meaningful, scalable outcomes.

After ISC DataMed, Eugene launched Principle Solutions, a consultancy serving businesses preparing for mergers and acquisitions. During this time, he built a reputation for shaping digital strategies that not only improved processes but repositioned companies for long-term competitiveness. These early years forged his expertise in navigating complex business ecosystems, a skill he would scale globally in roles to come.

Eugene’s most significant impact came during his twelve-year tenure at TIBCO Software, where he progressed from Director of Architecture Services to managing a $30M+ P&L. There, he led a global team of over 100 architects, launched an internal certification academy, and consistently surpassed revenue targets. At TIBCO, Eugene proved that enterprise architecture wasn’t merely about systems—it was about equipping teams with the tools and culture to become trusted client advisors. He helped Fortune 500 clients like FedEx, Sprint, Allstate, and P&G transform their business outcomes through integration, data, and strategic solutioning.

At MuleSoft, later acquired by Salesforce, Eugene scaled services operations and transformed customer engagement across the Southern U.S. region. As Principal Client Architect, he helped generate over $11M annually, driving both software and services revenue. His dual focus on business outcomes and customer empathy shaped high-impact programs that bridged pre- and post-sales, enabling seamless experiences for top-tier enterprise clients. His GTM and advisory work was instrumental in lifting adoption rates of the Anypoint Platform, helping clients reimagine their digital potential.

From 2021 to 2023, Eugene served as Vice President of Digital Strategy at Tealium, a leader in real-time customer data orchestration. He was rapidly promoted within three months and led a global team of strategists responsible for $154M in annual recurring revenue. Eugene introduced a “Land and Expand as a Practice” methodology that institutionalized customer success as a growth engine. He also played a pivotal role in shaping Tealium’s PredictML product roadmap and delivering executive-level workshops on digital adoption, AI integration, and customer modeling—all of which reinforced his standing as a visionary in the SaaS space.

Today, Eugene is Director of Product Management at Zones, Inc., where he leads global teams in modernizing internal systems and optimizing enterprise customer journeys. Managing over $500M+ in quarterly ARR, Eugene guides architecture and business analyst teams to foster operational excellence and AI fluency. His work ensures that both internal stakeholders and external clients benefit from cohesive, value-driven experiences. With Zones undergoing a massive digital transformation, Eugene is once again at the center of redefining how technology delivers human-centric value.

Throughout his career, Eugene’s influence has spanned geographies—including key projects in Asia Pacific, Singapore, Europe, and India—particularly within the gaming and software sectors. Despite his global reach, he remains grounded in his values, finding peace and perspective in nature. An outdoorsman at heart, Eugene draws inspiration from time spent in the woods or on the water, which mirrors the strategic clarity he brings to boardrooms and C-suites alike.

Eugene is deeply committed to mentorship, internal culture-building, and elevating those around him. His leadership style is rooted in empathy, clarity, and accountability. While he has led massive transformations and overseen teams of hundreds, his most prized achievements remain the individuals he’s coached, the ideas he’s helped take to market, and the companies he’s transformed through deep partnerships.

At this stage in his career, Eugene is increasingly being called upon for strategic insight. Colleagues and executives often seek his guidance on GTM transformation, AI integration, and customer advocacy. His interest in board service is both a natural evolution and a formal recognition of the value he brings. He is ready to contribute at the highest levels, helping organizations navigate disruption with wisdom, empathy, and precision.
