“Make It an Owl E Moment.”
Eric Rodriguez is an accomplished manufacturing operations, digital transformation, and go-to-market executive with more than thirty-seven years of experience connecting complex industrial operations with modern enterprise technology. As the Founder and Principal of Owl-E Moments LLC, he advises manufacturers, technology companies, and growth-focused organizations on operational scaling, Digital Thread strategy, Product Experience Management, Digital Twin applications, and customer-centered transformation. His leadership philosophy is grounded in a deeply held belief: technology does not transform companies—people do.
Eric began his professional journey in Silicon Valley, where he built the operational foundation that would shape the rest of his career. During fourteen years with Applied Materials, he advanced through increasingly responsible manufacturing and supply chain positions before becoming Senior Manufacturing Operations Manager for Chemical Vapor Deposition semiconductor equipment. In that capacity, he led a 132-person business unit responsible for approximately $300 million in annual system shipments to global semiconductor manufacturers including Samsung, Intel, TSMC, and Micron.
At Applied Materials, Eric developed a reputation for translating complex production requirements into disciplined, measurable operating systems. He established daily production meetings, executive performance reviews, capacity-planning processes, and continuous-improvement programs focused on throughput, cycle time, quality, and on-time delivery. By integrating the work of manufacturing, engineering, finance, quality, procurement, and supply chain teams, he helped the organization achieve approximately 97 percent on-time delivery while supporting Applied Materials during a period of extraordinary corporate growth.
Eric also demonstrated his capabilities as a turnaround leader when he was asked to improve performance within an underperforming manufacturing organization. Through operational analysis, leadership alignment, and consistent accountability, he helped raise on-time delivery from approximately 60 percent to 93 percent in one year. At the same time, he created succession plans within his former business unit, ensuring that operational performance remained strong after his transition and reinforcing his conviction that sustainable leadership includes preparing others to succeed.
Following his manufacturing career, Eric expanded into business strategy, analytics, and enterprise technology consulting. Through RSC Consulting and later 79 Ratio, he helped organizations connect operational objectives with cloud, data, reporting, and business-intelligence solutions. His work included developing executive decision-support frameworks, facilitating requirements workshops, and delivering analytics initiatives that improved visibility into supplier negotiations, sales performance, inventory turnover, and cross-selling opportunities.
Eric’s career evolved further through his work in Product Information Management, Product Experience Management, and digital commerce. At Inriver, he progressed from Business Solutions Architect to Senior Business Solutions Architect, becoming a trusted advisor to enterprise organizations including Johnson Controls, Lincoln Electric, Kohler, Converse, and New Balance. He helped customers align product information and digital commerce platforms with broader growth strategies, stabilized nine high-risk enterprise accounts, and contributed to a documented 96 percent customer retention rate.
His work at Inriver also demonstrated his ability to connect technical expertise with commercial value. Eric identified platform optimization opportunities that supported approximately $1 million in expansion revenue during 2023, while establishing productive relationships with major systems integrators such as Valtech, Shift 7, and Omega Point. He also mentored developing solutions architects, strengthening their capabilities in platform adoption, executive communication, customer advocacy, and stakeholder management.
As a Solutions Engineer with Ntara, Eric continued serving complex enterprise digital commerce customers, including Milwaukee Tool, Ariat, and Estée Lauder. He proactively identified customer adoption and technical risks months before they became formal escalations, coordinated engineering and product teams during high-pressure incidents, and reduced mean time to resolution by an estimated 30 to 40 percent. He also introduced scalable troubleshooting resources that reduced recurring customer meetings by several hours per account each week while improving resolution speed and customer confidence.
Today, Eric brings the full breadth of his career together through Owl-E Moments, a strategic advisory practice dedicated to advancing complex manufacturing through digital transformation, servant leadership, and mission-aligned partnerships. His work helps organizations connect ERP, PLM, CAD, PIM, DAM, CMS, CPQ, CRM, Data Lakes, Digital Twin platforms, and digital visualization tools into cohesive enterprise strategies. Rather than treating these technologies as isolated systems, Eric helps leadership teams create a unified Digital Thread that connects engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, sales, service, and the customer experience.
Eric’s strategic partnerships extend his ability to address challenges that no single organization can solve independently. Through relationships with Digital Twine, Omega Point, RenderDraw, Inriver, and UX Brite, he brings together capabilities in Digital Twin technology, PIM and PXM architecture, Salesforce ecosystems, visual CPQ, AI-enabled workflows, cybersecurity infrastructure, and go-to-market execution. His advisory approach begins with the operational problem, aligns the right people and technologies around it, and establishes measurable outcomes that demonstrate business value.
His experience spans semiconductor equipment, industrial automation, nanotechnology, solar technology, precision manufacturing, digital commerce, enterprise SaaS, supply chain operations, customer success, and business intelligence. Eric has also developed international experience involving Sweden, China, Singapore, and Malaysia, giving him a valuable perspective on global manufacturing, logistics, sourcing, and cross-cultural collaboration. He is particularly interested in supporting advanced manufacturing, industrial technology, capital equipment, B2B, semiconductor, and precision manufacturing organizations with annual revenue of approximately $500 million or less.
Continuous learning remains central to Eric’s leadership identity. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Electronics Engineering Technology from DeVry University and has pursued advanced studies in digital marketing through the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. His professional development includes certifications in Inriver, Salsify PIM, project management, workflow administration, syndication, and modern digital marketing, reinforcing his ability to connect established operating principles with emerging technologies such as Agentic AI and Digital Twin applications.
Beyond his commercial work, Eric believes that leadership should create opportunities for people and communities. He previously served as a board member with Chicagoland Prison Outreach and as Director of Corporate Services for the APICS Chicago Chapter. He is also committed to mentoring the next generation of solution leaders, helping them build the technical fluency, emotional intelligence, confidence, and curiosity required to guide organizations through meaningful change.
Eric is especially passionate about the future of Chicago as an advanced manufacturing and technology ecosystem. He sees the region’s manufacturers, innovation centers, institutions, and emerging technology communities as essential contributors to the next era of American industrial leadership. Through Owl-E Moments, he seeks to connect these capabilities around meaningful business problems, strengthen domestic supply chains, and make advanced technologies practical and accessible for manufacturers.
As a board and advisory candidate, Eric offers a rare combination of firsthand manufacturing leadership, supply chain expertise, digital commerce experience, enterprise architecture knowledge, and strategic partnership development. He understands both the operational demands of delivering complex capital equipment and the technology requirements of building connected customer experiences. Having worked from the factory floor to executive-level advisory environments, he can help leadership teams evaluate risk, improve operational performance, guide digital investments, develop scalable growth strategies, and translate innovation into measurable profitability.
