With an exceptional track record in building, transforming, and leading high-impact aviation enterprises, David has held C-suite roles, board directorships, and investment leadership positions across the industry’s most influential middle-market and growth-stage companies.
David currently serves as a Partner at Jet Capital Advisors, an advisory and investment firm based in Park City, Utah, specializing in middle-market aviation and aerospace opportunities. In this role, he leverages deep sector knowledge and financial acumen to guide investment strategy and portfolio growth across a range of high-value aviation assets.
In addition to his leadership at Jet Capital Advisors, David holds board positions at two critical suppliers to the aerospace and defense sectors. He serves on the Board of Directors at Aloft AeroArchitects, a premier manufacturer and supplier to Boeing, known for its sophisticated VIP aircraft completions and auxiliary fuel systems. He also serves as a Board Director at Amfuel, a key manufacturer of flexible fuel cells supporting top-tier OEMs including Boeing, Sikorsky, Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, Bell, and Robinson. These roles underscore his ongoing influence in shaping the strategic direction and operational success of key industry players.
Previously, David served as CEO of Aergen Aviation’s engine leasing and parts division, where he led successful securitizations of complex aircraft and engine portfolios. Before this, he was CEO and Board Member of Avioserv, a major commercial engine leasing and trading enterprise, where he oversaw the teardown, trading, and leasing of more than 800 engines prior to the company’s acquisition by Aergen in 2014.
David’s earlier leadership roles include his tenure as Managing Director of AeroThrust Corporation, an MRO provider for CFM and Pratt & Whitney commercial engines, and as CEO of AT Leasing, the firm’s engine leasing arm. His entrepreneurial spirit was evident as the Founder and CFO of POGOJet, a pioneering air taxi operator developed in collaboration with industry legend Robert Crandall.
From 2001 to 2005, David served as a trusted advisor to the CEO of Boullioun Aviation Services, where he was instrumental in the development of advanced financial models for Boeing and Airbus fleets. His foundational expertise in aviation operations and finance was built at SBS International, where as CFO and COO, he helped grow the world’s largest airline crew scheduling software firm, ultimately leading to its successful sale to Boeing.
David began his career in investment banking at First Equity and holds a Master of Business Administration in Finance from Yale University and a Bachelor of Science in Management Science from Arizona State University.
