“Helping people become successful in life.”
Daniel J. Seyler is a dynamic sales executive and strategic leader with nearly four decades of experience driving growth, profitability, and innovation in Fortune 1000 and entrepreneurial environments. His career is rooted in deep sales expertise—from frontline roles to national leadership positions—and culminates in his mission to help businesses scale through smarter go-to-market strategies, sales optimization, and transformative leadership.
Dan’s professional journey began with a global lens, earning a master’s in International Development from American University after studying Latin American Studies and Spanish at Temple University. Fluent in Spanish and Portuguese, he has led initiatives across 12 countries in the Americas and continues to apply this global perspective in strategic roles.
The cornerstone of Dan’s career was his 25-year tenure at Paychex, a Fortune 1000 leader in HR and payroll solutions. There, he rose from a top-producing sales representative to Senior Director, ultimately leading national sales organizations across multiple business units including retirement services, human capital management, and HR outsourcing. He was responsible for shaping and executing comprehensive go-to-market strategies, setting national sales quotas, designing compensation structures, optimizing territories, and leading mergers and acquisitions planning. His leadership scaled one of the largest 401(k) recordkeeping operations in the country, outpacing many tech sector benchmarks in scope and performance.
Throughout his time at Paychex, Dan not only managed billion-dollar revenue streams but also coached and mentored hundreds of frontline managers and senior leaders. His cross-functional work with product development, training, marketing, and operations teams reflects a true command of enterprise-level sales strategy and execution. These years, in his words, were “a practical executive MBA,” as he collaborated closely with C-suite leadership to turn complex business challenges into measurable results.
Following his corporate career, Dan transitioned into entrepreneurship as an agency owner with Goosehead Insurance, launching a family-operated firm that blends tech-forward innovation with personalized service. While the agency represents a meaningful chapter, Dan views this work as a bridge to more strategic impact—leveraging his operational insight and risk management experience to support high-growth organizations in advisory and board roles.
Dan’s contributions extend deeply into nonprofit leadership. He served more than a decade on the Board of Trustees of YMCA Camp Belknap, where he chaired the Nominating and Bylaws Committee and helped lead a successful $10 million capital campaign. He currently serves as Vice Chair of the Texas Association of Charitable Clinics, and as Treasurer and President-Elect of the Kiwanis Club of Southlake, Texas. In these roles, Dan applies the same rigor and vision he brought to his corporate work—offering operational discipline, strategic planning, and hands-on fundraising leadership.
What distinguishes Dan is his rare combination of enterprise-scale sales leadership and agile entrepreneurial thinking. He is adept at building high-performance cultures, executing turnarounds, and scaling operations through sales strategy, CRM design, channel innovation, leadership development, and customer-centric transformation. His international experience—particularly his leadership in U.S. Hispanic markets and advisory work in Brazil—adds further depth to his strategic range.
Today, Dan is actively seeking board and advisory opportunities where he can partner with growing companies and nonprofits to strengthen their go-to-market execution, optimize sales performance, and achieve sustainable growth. His expertise spans sales and operational leadership, organizational design, strategic planning, product positioning, and market expansion. He brings value to sectors including insurance, financial services, human capital, retirement planning, and technology-driven services.
