Board Director | Strategic Advisor | Executive Leader
BOARD BIOGRAPHY
Dale Behan is a results-driven executive, entrepreneur, and investment banker with more than 30 years of leadership experience spanning manufacturing, industrial services, energy, investment banking, and professional services. His uncommon combination of engineering, legal, and business credentials — paired with deep operational and transactional experience — equips boards with the strategic oversight, financial rigor, and governance discipline required to navigate growth, transformation, and complex transactions.
As Managing Partner of i5 Advisory, LLC, Dale leads sell-side investment banking engagements for privately held middle-market companies, advising owners and leadership teams through mergers and acquisitions, enterprise valuation, due diligence, and transaction execution. Previously, as Managing Director at BlackRose Group, he expanded his capital markets expertise and sharpened his ability to assess strategic alternatives, evaluate enterprise value, and align business objectives with shareholder interests — capabilities that translate directly into effective board-level oversight.
Dale’s operational credentials ground his advisory work in reality. As Principal and CEO (and previously COO) of Louisiana Blasting & Coating, LLC, he led a specialized industrial services company through sustained growth, delivering measurable improvements in financial performance, operational efficiency, and organizational development. Earlier, he was a co-owner and Director of Operations at Western Company of Texas, Inc. (WCT), building the organization and gaining firsthand experience in capital allocation, workforce development, and entrepreneurial execution, including an eventual sale of WCT to Select Water Solutions (f/k/a Select Energy Services) (NYSE: WTTR).
Dale received a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering at Louisiana State University, followed by a J.D. from Southern University Law Center and an M.B.A. from Tulane University’s A.B. Freeman School of Business. This multidisciplinary foundation — technical, legal, and financial — enables him to evaluate complex board decisions through multiple lenses simultaneously, a distinct advantage in deliberations involving risk, governance, strategy, M&A, and capital deployment.
Actively engaged through the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG) and the Alliance of Merger & Acquisition Advisors (AM&AA), he also participated as a co-inventor in a patented pipe bridge and brings this professional networking and forward-looking perspective on market trends, competitive dynamics, and the value of intellectual property as a driver of organizational growth. He is particularly well suited to boards of industrial, manufacturing, energy services, and specialty manufacturing companies — especially organizations with revenues exceeding $50 million navigating growth, operational transformation, M&A activity, or succession planning.
