The 1990s saw Brian’s progression into project and construction management roles, notably with Daniel Olson Construction. Here, he began to flex his skills in land planning, proforma development, contract negotiation, and risk mitigation. At a time when many professionals chose specialization, Brian chose integration—embedding himself in every stage of development, from site grading and formwork to subdivision guidelines and public presentations.

In 1996, Brian founded Brooks Design / Build, Inc., a firm that became an extension of his personal philosophy: a holistic approach to architecture and construction that prioritized synergy between structure, budget, and beauty. His leadership at Brooks has spanned three decades and covered everything from residential and commercial design to expert witness work in construction litigation.
