His work encompasses operational improvement, cost optimization, supply chain transformation, post-merger integration, carve-outs, due diligence, salesforce effectiveness, and enterprise-wide performance improvement. Ankit’s journey at FTI Consulting reflects a consistent record of excellence and leadership. Since joining the firm in 2019 as a Senior Consultant, he has steadily advanced through increasingly senior positions, including Director, Senior Director, and ultimately Managing Director. This progression speaks to both his technical expertise and his ability to build trusted relationships with clients facing highly complex strategic and operational decisions. Throughout each stage of his career, he has successfully led multidisciplinary teams while helping organizations align strategy with execution and transform ambitious business objectives into tangible outcomes.
Prior to FTI Consulting, Ankit served as a Senior Consultant within Capgemini’s Operations Transformation practice, where he advised organizations across aerospace, manufacturing, retail, food and beverage, telecommunications, energy, hospitality, and consumer products. His engagements focused on procurement transformation, strategic sourcing, supplier management, ERP evaluations, customer operations, technology roadmaps, operational planning, and continuous process improvement. Working across diverse industries sharpened his ability to rapidly understand business challenges and develop customized solutions that balanced operational excellence with long-term strategic objectives.
Earlier in his career, Ankit built a strong operational and engineering foundation through roles at Air Products and Delta Air Lines. At Delta, he led sourcing efforts for a next-generation in-flight entertainment system, coordinated supplier negotiations across multiple aircraft programs, and developed sourcing strategies that balanced technical requirements with scalable cost efficiencies. At Air Products, he supported engineering operations serving more than 6,000 customers throughout North America while working alongside sales, customer service and field technicians to improve maintenance planning, optimize inventory strategies, enhance safety procedures, and reduce operational costs. These early experiences provided valuable real-world insight into the intersection of engineering, operations, and strategic business management.
Throughout his career, Ankit has developed deep expertise across every major component of modern supply chain management. His experience includes Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP), sourcing and procurement, inventory management, network optimization, supplier relationship management, process redesign, Lean Six Sigma methodologies, operational due diligence, integration planning, and enterprise transformation. His ability to view supply chain operations not simply as logistical functions but as strategic drivers of competitive advantage allows him to identify opportunities that improve profitability while strengthening customer experience and organizational resilience.
Ankit’s educational background reflects both exceptional technical capability and executive business leadership. He earned his Master of Business Administration from Emory University’s Goizueta Business School, where he evaluated supply chain strategies and operational improvements for nationally recognized consumer brands. He also earned both a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and a Bachelor of Arts in Physics from the University of Virginia while completing a minor in Aerospace Engineering. During his undergraduate studies, he published research examining the emerging electric vehicle industry and vehicle conversion technologies, demonstrating an early commitment to innovation, engineering excellence, and forward-thinking problem solving.
