With more than three decades of executive leadership in construction, real estate development, and project delivery, Andy Reinach has built a distinguished career defined by operational excellence, collaborative leadership, and the successful execution of some of the nation’s most sophisticated commercial developments. Throughout his career, he has earned a reputation for transforming complex visions into high-performing assets by combining strategic planning, disciplined execution, and trusted relationships. His experience spans every phase of the real estate lifecycle, allowing him to consistently deliver projects that meet financial objectives while exceeding expectations for quality, functionality, and long-term value.
Andy currently serves as Executive Vice President of Construction at Calvin Cooper, Inc., where he leads preconstruction and construction operations for large-scale mixed-use developments valued in the hundreds of millions of dollars. In this role, he oversees project programming, budgeting, value engineering, design coordination, contract negotiations, and owner risk management while mentoring multidisciplinary teams responsible for delivering premier Class A developments. His leadership extends beyond technical execution, focusing equally on cultivating high-performing teams, strengthening partnerships, and creating an organizational culture built on accountability, trust, and continuous improvement.
Prior to joining Calvin Cooper, Andy spent more than sixteen years with Alexandria Real Estate Equities, ultimately serving as Senior Vice President and Head of Construction. During his tenure, he became one of the industry’s leading owner-side construction executives, directing the planning, execution, and delivery of technically demanding life science, healthcare, corporate, and institutional developments across multiple U.S. markets. Under his leadership, Alexandria successfully delivered more than $6 billion in projects totaling approximately 6.4 million square feet, including landmark facilities for globally recognized organizations such as Moderna, Eli Lilly, Biogen, Bristol Myers Squibb, Sanofi Genzyme, Meta, IBM, and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
Managing annual construction programs exceeding $250 million, Andy became known for his ability to coordinate complex stakeholder environments involving architects, engineers, contractors, leasing teams, legal counsel, underwriting professionals, sustainability specialists, security experts, IT professionals, and executive leadership. His expertise extends far beyond construction management; he understands how capital allocation, risk management, design strategy, operational planning, leasing objectives, and long-term asset performance intersect to create successful developments. His ability to align these diverse interests has consistently resulted in predictable project outcomes, disciplined cost control, schedule reliability, and exceptional quality.
Earlier in his career, Andy developed a broad foundation that continues to influence his leadership philosophy today. As Development Manager with Lyme Properties, he directed ground-up developments and major redevelopment initiatives while overseeing consultant coordination, tenant integration, construction execution, and stabilized asset management. His subsequent roles with O’Neill Properties Group, The Whiting-Turner Contracting Company, and Baker Concrete Construction provided valuable hands-on experience managing institutional, healthcare, commercial, infrastructure, and mixed-use projects. These progressively responsible positions allowed him to develop a comprehensive understanding of construction operations from the field level through executive ownership, giving him a unique perspective that bridges strategic decision-making with practical project execution.
A graduate of Cornell University, Andy earned both a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and a Master of Engineering in Structural Engineering, providing the technical foundation that has supported his executive success. He has further strengthened his leadership capabilities through advanced professional development, including earning a Certificate in Facilitative Mediation from the Harvard Mediation Program. This training reflects his belief that successful leadership often depends upon thoughtful communication, collaborative problem-solving, and the ability to build consensus among diverse stakeholders facing complex decisions.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Andy is deeply committed to service and community involvement. As an FAA-certified instrument-rated private pilot, he volunteers countless hours flying humanitarian missions for organizations including Angel Flight East, Pilots N Paws, and Turtles Fly Too. Whether transporting patients to life-saving medical treatment, relocating rescue animals to permanent homes, or flying endangered sea turtles to rehabilitation facilities, Andy donates both his aircraft and personal resources to causes that improve lives. His decades-long commitment as a blood and platelet donor further reflects a lifelong dedication to helping others through meaningful action rather than recognition.
Outside of work, Andy enjoys aviation, fishing, and maintaining an active fitness lifestyle, interests that reinforce the discipline, preparation, and focus that have become hallmarks of his leadership style. His volunteer involvement with youth mentoring and charitable initiatives further demonstrates his commitment to investing in future generations and strengthening the communities he serves. Colleagues consistently describe him as a calm, trustworthy leader who performs exceptionally well under pressure while maintaining humility, integrity, and respect for every member of the team.
Today, Andy is actively seeking opportunities to serve on corporate and advisory boards where he can leverage his decades of executive experience to help organizations navigate growth, manage risk, improve operational performance, and execute transformative capital initiatives. Having successfully faced the challenges of leading billion-dollar development programs, he is motivated by the opportunity to mentor executive teams and contribute strategic guidance that enables companies to build stronger organizations and achieve sustainable long-term success. His experience working with organizations of every size, combined with his collaborative leadership style and unwavering commitment to excellence, makes him a valuable advisor for companies across construction, architecture, engineering, development, real estate, and adjacent industries.
