Reflecting on a Powerful Webinar with Women Veterans of C-Suite Leadership

    Published on:

I am elated to report that on April 19 I hosted a fantastic webinar event in which I moderated a panel of four prominent women with extensive experience in the C-suite leadership ecosystem. There was a lot of discussion at this event about improving private and public companies’ boards of directors in terms of diversity, expertise, and composition.

We broke up our webinar into three informative sections, discussing topics like women’s contributions to the VC industry over time, creating inclusive workplaces, and inspiring the next generation of female business leaders. In the first section, we discussed why it’s important for women to participate in venture capital and how they can increase their chances of success in the field. In the second part, we talked about ways to increase diversity and inclusion in the venture capital sector and why that’s important. The final section highlighted the difficulties of recruiting more women to serve on boards while encouraging the next generation of female founders and board members.

Hearing our panelists talk about the VC industry figures they look up to and the lessons they’ve learned from them was a highlight of the webinar. Hearing their stories and gaining insight into the tactics and routes they took to become successful VCs was motivating.

Our mission at Boardsi is to empower the next generation of female founders and board members to create meaningful change in the world through entrepreneurship and board service. We’re grateful to all our panelists and attendees who joined us for this fantastic event.

If you were unable to attend the webinar in its entirety, you can view a brief overview of it and the full presentation on our website. In order to further promote diversity within the board sector and beyond, we are taking the next big step by entering the VC community and launching a new initiative in partnership with the VC community. Boardsi is just getting started on an incredible journey, and we intend to leave a lasting mark on our field.
