Following his successful consulting career, Vijay joined Travelers Insurance, where he spent nearly a decade driving enterprise-wide transformation. He initially helped define the front office and back office strategy for enterprise operations across Personal and Commercial lines. As Vice President, Underwriting Transformation Lead, he spearheaded commercial lines underwriting and pricing initiatives, significantly improving efficiency and decision-making. He led a matrixed team of more than 250 professionals, implemented proprietary underwriting workstations infused with predictive models and AI tools, and championed employee engagement and career development initiatives. His work modernized legacy systems, strengthened customer engagement through Salesforce Sales and Service Cloud, and positioned Travelers as a forward-looking organization in a competitive industry.
During his time at Travelers, Vijay also founded the Asian American Executive Leadership Group, reflecting his commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
