Beyond his clinical practice, Dr. Shook became an influential healthcare leader within Good Samaritan Hospital in Los Angeles. His leadership responsibilities expanded significantly when he was appointed Corporate Vice President and Head of Global Medical Services. In this role, Dr. Shook led an organization of more than 125 physicians and over 650 healthcare professionals responsible for medical monitoring, pharmacovigilance, endpoint adjudication, medical writing, and scientific consulting services supporting more than 600 clinical trials globally. His tenure was marked by meaningful innovation, including the development of enhanced therapeutic area training programs, advanced medical data surveillance methodologies, improved pharmacovigilance processes, and broader access to specialized medical expertise across international markets.

Dr. Shook’s success in leading large-scale global operations culminated in his appointment as Executive Vice President of Clinical Research Services and Senior Medical Officer at PAREXEL.
