    Terezia Clara Nemeth is a seasoned executive with over three decades of experience in the real estate and urban development sectors. Her journey began with a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from the University of California, Berkeley, followed by a Master of Architecture from the same institution. She further honed her expertise with a Master of Science in Real Estate Development from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

    Throughout her illustrious career, Terezia has held key leadership positions at esteemed organizations, leaving an indelible mark on the industry. Most recently serving as the Executive Vice President & Regional Market Director for the San Francisco Bay Area at Alexandria Real Estate Equities Inc., she led the company’s second largest region of 9 million SF of commercial life science real estate with a 50 person staff organized in four offices across the San Francisco peninsula.  In that capacity she was responsible for leading leasing, marketing, and operations of the regions extensive life science assets portfolio as well as the expansion prospects of an additional 8 million SF.

    Terezia’s tenure at Alexandria Real Estate Equities Inc. has been marked by remarkable accomplishments. As the Senior Vice President of Development & Community Relations, she spearheaded development and entitlement efforts in the Bay Area, contributing to the growth and more then doubling of the company’s footprint.

    Prior to joining Alexandria, Terezia was the commercial development leader for the world-reknown Mission Bay mixed-use project with Catellus Development Corporation, previously Terezia served as the Managing Director of Berkeley Global Campus at UC Berkeley, overseeing the development of a world-class research and development campus. Her strategic vision and leadership were instrumental in preparing the plans and entitlements to transform the 134-acre property into a hub for innovation and collaboration.

    Beyond her professional endeavors, Terezia is deeply committed to community service and civic engagement. She has served on various nonprofit boards and committees, including the Berkeley School Board of Trustees, where she was a Trustee from 2014 to 2018. Terezia’s passion for community development is evident in her ongoing involvement with organizations such as the Mission Bay Citizens Advisory Committee and the Tenderloin Neighborhood Development Corporation.

    Terezia’s contributions to the real estate and urban planning fields have earned her widespread recognition. She was honored as one of the Top 100 Influential Business Women in Northern California by the San Francisco Business Times in both 2005 and 2020.
